Warzone Firefight has begun seen some interesting updates in recent times and I hope to see the development team continue creating more in the future. Despite this what I am about to propose is more mundane than the inclusion of new weapons or vehicles. A unique enemy players can face in Rounds Three to Five is a group of rogue Spartans. Now the enemies aren’t AI versions of Blue or Osiris Team but instead a selection of Spartan IV fireteams. These teams could be made from scratch and have new lore created just for them or could be based off existing groups that have been depicted or mentioned in Halo media. As an added measure there would be a three different teams to spawn with different weapons. The following arrangements listed are to be used as examples for what players would face.
Team One; 1x Sniper. 2x DMRs. 1x Assault Rifle. 2x SMGs
Team Two; 1x S. Laser. 2x Battle Rifles. 2x SMGs. 1x Shotgun
Team Three; 1x Chain Guns (Turrets). 2x Hydra. 1x Railgun. 2x Battle Rifles.
Despite my enthusiasm for this idea there is one glaring issue that renders it unnecessary in some perspectives. That detail is that players already face off against other Spartans in standard multiplayer so putting AI Spartans in Firefight can be seen as redundant. With that in mind the purpose of this suggestion is to promote a new enemy class for Firefight.
BONUS: Halo 6 Firefight: Flood Survival
While a Halo 6 has yet to be announced in any capacity I want to share this idea in speculation that the current iteration of Firefight continues into the next mainstream title. Suppose that the Flood does return in Halo 6 and they are an enemy to fight in Warzone. Unlike the Covenant and Prometheans when the Flood appear as stage enemies there is only one goal: Survival. Player respawn is disabled as all players must survive five minutes on an endless Flood onslaught. No bosses or secondary objectives. All that matters is staying alive.
