Warzone Firefight General Complaint Thread

Posting this so the community can have a thread to post common dislikes, suggestions or questions about Warzone Firefight.

I wanted to throw in my own opinions here as well. First off, the respawn timer for firefight is painful, especially on the high rounds. I don’t see why the timer should be any longer than 15 seconds. Second, a lot of the ‘defend the garage’ or ‘defend the forerunner artifact’ objectives are very frustrating. Most of the time they require you quickly run across the map in order to halt any damage that’s already been done, and then deal with a ridiculous amount of ads that can sometimes spawn inside the buildings. Lastly, the final round is almost always a struggle to beat, at least with random players. The amount of ads on top of the difficulty of the Mythic bosses make it pretty cheap, especially when only one or two people spawn in good vehicles.

I’m not posting this saying that it’s a terrible game mode, I’m just saying simple things like these can severely impact it in a negative way, and I hope they change soon.

Warden eternals on round 3 of apex 7 is -Yoink-, every time we’ve never completed it.

FF is hard which is a good thing. What’s not good though is that every enemy feels like a sponge. They aren’t satisfying to kill. I wouldn’t mind the insane re spawn time if enemies didn’t have crazy health and weapon damage and accuracy. I swear the AI is like this and this.

There’s a difference between a game mode being challenging and straight up cheap. In this game mode’s case, it’s cheap. Overwhelming amounts of minions and insane boss health just makes things aggravating rather than challenging. Warzone Firefight would not be nearly as frustrating if these things were addressed.

My one true complaint: Bullet sponge enemies. Any other complaint I could make would be derived from this problem.

My complaints start as this.

Respawn timer needs to be shrunken… A lot. no damn reason that you should be -Yoinking!- waiting 30 seconds when each round is five minutes, if that.

Mythic enemies : cool in concept and work great. But wtf is with three warden eternals or piano with like, forty knights surrounding him. Seriously, wtf. Also, there should be no reason for warden to appear round 2. Most people don’t even have ghosts yet and you expect us, without power weapons mind you, to take down easily the highest HP boss in the entire game. Not happening.

Please address these issues.

Even though there’s already a feedback thread for FF, I’m glad this post was made! It cannot be stressed enough how much WZFF needs tweaking. I was so excited to play it with the release of the latest update, but find it so unenjoyable…

  • Bosses are sponges
  • AI are too “perfect”
  • Round difficulty is not consistent
  • Fake difficulty is insane
  • Boss placement is broken

i could list more and go further in depth, but I’m tired, lol

I want longer rounds but with more enemies.

Either reduce re spawn time
Make spawns closer to action
Make the enemies spawn and be on the map when the round starts, no waiting on them warp/drop off
Or the balance the above - Extra 30 secs of time for each boss kill

The whooooole experience would be improved by sorting out the respawn timer. As soon as you get the the last two rounds, and you die, that’s it, you simply can’t get the team together to push and take the win, whatever the objective simple because you are out for soooooo long. By the time you have got back in the game, half the rest of the randoms have died.

The difficulty is pretty good, really makes you think, and with a bit of practice and a shorter respawn / more time in game, it should be do able to win rounds a bit easier. That said, the amount of enemies that spawn in can be hugely overwhelming, so it’s super easy to be taken advantage of if you get caught up in them.

Something else i’m not sure on is the count down timer. I know that this is a new style of FF and all that, and I LOVE it so far. But maybe another firefight playlist with no countdown / more relaxed. Keep the waves of enemies and the bosses coming for sure, but maybe scrap the timer? Not sure, just an idea.

I see nothing wrong with making another thread about feedback. This is a thread to discuss firefight among fellow players, not lending reviews to 343I. With that being said, I want to ask a question or two: people are generally agreeing that the enemies are simply too bullet spongy, and their damage is too high. It seems that using REQ items makes a significant difference on the outcome of the match; using no req items can prove to be nigh impossible without expert level communication, skill, and luck. With everyone using high rarity reqs consistently, the match will seem like easy difficulty campaign. Clearly the game mode is balanced towards req usage, which it shouldn’t be because not everyone is going to spawn in 3 scorpions, 2 banshees, and 4 The Answers. A lot of people don’t even have that. So my question to you guys is this: would you rather make enemies much, much easier to kill and take damage from, but have longer req leveling times, or double the req level increase, but leave enemies at their current state of high HP and damage?
I encourage you guys to really think about the long-term ramifications of each side before deciding which one you fall under. If you have alternate ideas, I’d really like to hear them.

How about no timer at all and more enemies? That sounds fun to me. Hordes of kills to be made!
