Warzone Firefight Escape From A.R.C.

My fireteam and I were on the last round on Escape from ARC, fighting against the Eternal Warden after we killed off the two Knight Luminaries. The Warden’s health was knocked to 60% and we were close to finishing him off at the time 1:46, next thing you know, a -Yoink- ton of Watchers spawned and we didn’t pay too much mind about them as we believed that they’ll be killed off in the crossfire anyways. I fell back to the REQ station to spawn my Wraith because I was low on ammo, as soon as I returned, the Warden’s health jumped back to 90 percent! We just kept on attacking but his health jumped back to 90 percent AGAIN, then time ran out. That was the most unbelievable BS that I ever encountered playing Firefight and it was my FIRST time seeing it. I don’t know whether it was a connection issue (at times before the last round it did lag a bit), or it was a glitch, but hopefully it won’t happen again.

Not a glitch. Watchers (alongside Knights) have the worst enemy design in all of Halo. Warden is a boring boss, but at least not too OP and infuriating.

Yeah watchers can restore Promethean boss health. My biggest gripe about that specific R5 Arc round is that the watchers seem to endlessly spawn. I’ve been in matches where we were still killing them within a minute til time out. The most effective strategy on this round is to bait the warden to walk toward his right and get away from the watchers, but his cooperation is pretty random.

I’ve seen this multiple times, and not just on ARC. Watchers (if left unchecked) will heal their knights, soldiers and especially wardens. It’s best if you make sure you take out watchers as soon as they spawn to make sure they don’t heal anybody and make your life that much more difficult.

Watchers have the ability to heal other promethian units including warden eternal. This isn’t a glitch

If you leave them alone then they’ll definitely start to heal their allies. They’re a priority one target, when you see them take them out.

Yup, it’s dem Watchers. That’s why I specifically focused on them in that ARC round when I played FF regularly since I always assumed my teammates were too dumb to do so.

Watchers are supposed to restore friendly health so that’s working fine and dandy. They’re not hard to kill really, just focus them down and then deal with warden. I understand time issues being a matter but 5 mins is all we ever get unfortunately.

Watchers are weak to most precision weapons. Dont waste rockets on them or anything like that. Heck even an AR can take them down pretty good.

the thing with Watchers though is that they’re so generally hated that they dont make very frequent appearances. Halo 4 combat with Prometheans was… not the best, to say the least.

After Halo 4 though Prometheans became kinda weak besides Knights who mostly just became massive bullet sponges that rarely do anything or alternatively became bosses that wreck you hard.

Prometheans in general have a lot of gameplay attributes that make them annoying from their constant weapon fire with tracking to their healing and small teleporting abilities and just the experience of fighting them is always a pain.

Prometheans definitely need a good hard look at what works and what doesnt and what is and isnt enjoyable about them
