Warzone Firefight Deacon Pipap

Why is Deacon Pipap so OP on Legendary compared to every other boss? Even the Mythic hunters in the same round are weaker. His range should be nerfed, imo. Just a question.

I haven’t noticed. Does he spawn in later rounds as opposed to the other bosses?

I think that’s kinda the point though. He’s in a giant metal mech that’s supposed to kick -Yoink- since Grunts themselves are worthless and a waste of space.

you need to spawn more tanks!!! and your team mates need tanks

Only thing that I find OP are his pink needles. I think it only takes two carbine explosions to blow a tank up or make it close to blowing up.

That main cannon is so dangerous. I’ve lost so many Scorpions and Mantises like that. The secondary Needles are really nasty since they move so fast over a ludicrous range.

Yeah, the positive is they aren’t as powerful as they used to be. When I’m fighting him, I’ll usually position myself so I can move behind cover when he shoots those needles, but it doesn’t always work since they move so fast.

exactly what screws me over every time. I wouldn’t have as much of problem if he didn’t have such a large range. none of the other grunt mechs have his range

I guess it’s something the developers wanted. A grunt that can pose a significant threat to any player

I don’t think that works anymore, I don’t know, I just heard that they made that impossible now

This worked last week for my teammates and I while taking down the grunt mech on both Prospect and Sanctum. Take his shield down (turns reddish right before it drops) and he is a one-shot as BxxRAD has stated. The Scale of Soraipt seemed to do a little more damage quicker than the other plasma rifle variants. If I’m playing alone, I usually pull a high end tank or ultra wraith; and be sure to put on the Wheelman mod. It will keep you from being a three or four mega needle casualty.

In reference to GoldOwllover mentioning that 343 made it impossible… there used to be an opening in the grunts shield, a flaw in development, that allowed the grunt to be a one-shot kill with a sniper rifle. However, that was patched sometime ago.
