Warzone Farming

When warzone games go wrong, they go wrong badly. Warzone has a lot of problems, and I hate that they’re problems that can not be addressed. Far too often do warzone games get played where a team will take all of the bases, and then farm for kills instead of finishing off the core. It sucks, it’s not fun, and its a poor representation of Halo. It’s not the objective at all, and at a point, it’s just bullying the other team because you can. There’s really no way to fix this, but I thought I’d bring it up because it kind of ruins the feel of the game. Those are my thoughts, and if you’re someone who does this you’re kind of a jerk honestly.

Yes it’s not fun but all you can do is take your medicine and move on. Hopefully H6 will be better from this.

Eh it’s not warzone and I mean it’s been a part of Halo since capture the flag became a thing all those years ago. I kinda see it as halo at this point
Or FPS in general

I still think people should play the game as it is meant to be

Eh I mean who is it to say how a game should be played and how it shouldn’t. Personally I hate it I find it boring to sit back and snipe people as the walk out of a door but others like it for some reason I’ll never understand. I wonder if halo will ever have a “fix” for it though

Right now I’m playing oddball and they’re just guarding it without trying to win. Not what the game type is for but whatever I guess

I see this happen a lot more now on BTB since they got rid of 12 man warzone. I kind of stay away from BTB now because of it.

That’s why I love assault it’s all the fun of Wz but people push the objective and it becomes fun either defending or attacking and if they farm it’s only for 5 minutes

OP you don’t know what farming is. 12 man is gone. The only reason why players don’t push into the core is because they get ripped apart. The base is designed for a last stand. Teams with no communication will run into the base one or two at a time only to get owned by the defending team.

You don’t have to have 12 people to farm. If 1 person needs marine kills and is actively only trying for marines, that’s farming according to Websters. There is more than just one kind of farming than the tradition sense. If there wasn’t then farming would only relate to fruits and vegetables.

There’s actaully a very easy solution to this. When you get farmed, quit, leave, take the ban and leave, don’t give farmers the satisfaction. If the ban is like 3 days like I’ve heard they can be, turn off Halo 5 and go play a better game that treats its players fairly.

While “farming” does happen, and has always happened even before warzone was a thing, it’s not nearly as wide spread as most claim. I have challenged any one to show their warzone service record and show the majority of their games are “farmed”. Most games are just bad beats. My last regular warzone game we got beat 1000 to 300 and something and they had us triple capped but we put up and adequate core defense but I bet some were like “we were farmed” even though we clearly weren’t.

I have tried to finish warzone games as soon as I can though some people get a little upset when I take a Saw to the enemy Core lol but its fun, sadly 343 can not help the way people play if there are famers then that’s seething we have to deal with, I try to hunt down farmers when I see them most of them are campers picking off players so take the out and hunt them down… its how its done

Getting farmed is definitely not fun. Hasn’t happened to me in a long time, went up against a known farming S.C.in back to back games yesterday and even they aren’t farming anymore.

I got farmed by a full team of Redacted and Redacted members in a game of btb assault a few days ago. They were just spawn killing everyone. I stayed till the end to report all of the them for this behaviour. Report this kind of players everytime you can… they deserve a ban

Agreed my dude

Ik it sucks. one of my most miserable games of halo was on one of the new BTB city maps (can’t remember the name) and you would literally spawn getting shot by two or more br’s. There was no escape.

Definitely. Hopefully halo 6 will address several issues and imbalances in halo 5 matchmaking.

I just play Firefight now and it makes life easier not having to deal with that. Plus, it’s faster with XP grinding.

Warzone has huge flaws and I hope they’re fixed in H6.

I’ve been farmed (hard) more times that I can count, and have also on a few rare occasions been on a team doing the “farming”. A few comments:

 • If you feel like you’re getting farmed, just stop spawning in - stay in the respawn screen (don’t press X). They won’t be able to kill you, and it will make it much easier for enemies to walk into your core and destroy it. - I’ve been in tons of games where we trip-capped the enemy, and then when we try to get in the core and destroy it, the enemy just sits back with power weapons and vehicles, and keeps killing us. So -Yoink- that… I’m not going to keep running in the core to get farmed as we win. I’m also not going to waste my precious camos to sneak a fuel rod in there. I’ll gladly core early if I’m able to get in there. But don’t cry “farming” if your team is actually playing defense and putting up a fight. - If you’re a victim of a “real” farm, where you have multiple enemies running around your home base for several minutes, meeting no resistance, yet not shooting at the core, report them all. They’re farming you and they deserve to be reported. But don’t cry farming just because you’re trip capped and pinned in your base.
