Hear me out on this. Your ideas are definitely solid, however, a whole team quitting still gives them the win. That’s rewarding people for breaking rules, and exploiting -Yoink- in a game.
My idea would have some minor issues to work out, namely people abusing it to piss off others, but could feasibly work. Put a terminal in the home base, that takes a form of vote. If your team is being farmed, maybe like a 50% vote yes, would end the game as a draw. This could be done immediately, doesn’t reward the enemy team for exploiting -Yoink-, and makes it so you don’t have to leave the match, which is against the rules.
Don’t let them be rewarded for this, or that’s all they’re going to shoot for. You make Req packs available to buy again, and all you’re going to have is a bunch of maxed players, in a party of 12, pub stomping teams. Not only is that absolute -Yoink- that they don’t get paired with other maxed parties, but it ruins the game. I can name more than several people that I know personally, that bought this game just to try it out. Yeah, I hyped it a lot to them, but this was also before farming was this big of a problem. They thoroughly enjoyed the game, then the -Yoink- strikes, and now they don’t even own the game. They went back to BF4 and CoD, because at least the -Yoink- in that, is tolerable. I won’t play either game, so I try to stick it out with H5, but that thread I’m holding onto, is getting mighty thin. The only hope I have left, is firefight. Something should have been forseen, well, while it was being play tested, but who am I to notice that funneling an entire enemy team into a narrow passage, that the enemy team has to try to run through, is a bad idea? Oh yeah, someone with common -Yoinking!- sense. You can’t get req levels because you can’t move, you try to walk out the doors, just to get obliterated in any number of ways, (mostly snipers because the armories overlook them and you can’t see them until you walk out and it’s too late), vehicles are beyond off limits. What do you do?
Full parties even have -Yoink- like this planned. They will kill farm, then let you take back your armory, just to; A)retake it over and repeat or B)kill you in your armory, because at least they let you have that. Most parties won’t even go after the legendary bosses, or any bosses for that matter, because why the -Yoink- would they? That would take away from the kills they could farm.
OP was right, 343i. This is on you. I can only assume, because I’m no where near qualified to do your jobs and still would have thought that through, that you did know it was possible. But you left it anyway, and I can only guess, because you thought people wouldn’t do something like that. You’re right! Kids on the Internet have the upmost integrity.
My only two questions are why and is it going to get fixed or are you going to let it ruin an entire community/game type?
