When a team captures all bases the opposing team’s core not only becomes vulnerable, but also becomes unstable.
- A 5 minute countdown begins. - Every defender that is killed takes 1 second off the clock. - If the core is not destroyed by the time the countdown finishes, the core detonates. - If the core detonates the defenders still lose the match, but only boss kill points are counted at the end of the match. - Medals are still awarded, but no player kill counts get increased. If the defenders manage to capture a base but lose it again, the core countdown begins where it left off.
A player that destroys the core gets 500 REQ points or since the goal is to get as many spartan kills as possible, core destruction by damage immediately kills all defenders adding +12 spartan kills.
I like the idea of making it worth destroying the core, giving some kind of bonus.
The core going unstable is also good, it would fit, and unshielded core would be affected by the weapons fire either if it isn’t hitting the core directly or not.
But the kills should still count, that seems pointless, and would make people not capture the third base and just move the trap to the first base,

Good point on how the farming would adapt.
I was trying find a suggestion that would remove the incentive for farming and increase incentive for playing the game towards the objective.
I guess in the very least the unstable core solution would be close enough to a “mercy” rule.
i don’t think kill-farming needs a solution.
it’s not like, 9/10 games are full of spawn-trappers.
i’ve posted in another topics countless reasons why,
and i’m not in the mood to repeat myself for the forth or fifth time.
just suck it up, some time you win, some time you lose, some time you get your butt kicked across the galaxy & back.
Honestly I think in all the games I’ve played, I have maybe run into it maybe twice.
This is just the forum blowing a minor issue way out of proportion. People need to calm down and realize that this isn’t some kind of epidemic.
I have no problem with the current spawn trap in WZ. i stay back and use a beam rifle with im spawn trapped and get tons of kills. its WZA i hate because the second you spawn there is no cover and you just die. spawn die spawn die spawn die spawn die spawn die spawn die spawn die
I have a simple solution to warzone farming: block and report people in the opposing team for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Real mature; players shouldn’t get reported for having more skill than you. Stop taking your loss like Cam Newton. Man up, if you can’t do something about losing than just accept your loss and move on. if your sick of dying put on a camo and sneak out of the base or spend more time working on your skills rather than complaining about not having any on the forums.

I agree with the highlighted part at least. 500 req? I dunno that could be balanced in the end but a req point reward of some kind for killing the core would be nice

I really like this idea

I don’t have any problem with players having more skill than me. I have a problem with unsportsmanship, and that’s exactly what warzone farming is. That’s not how this game mode is meant to be played and I think it’s a really annoying behavior that hurts my enjoyment of the game, thus I believe I have every right to block and report whoever plays like that. Having skill is not an excuse for acting like a -Yoink-.

Lol you get mad and report people, like it’s going to make a difference, listen, my team and i farm kill because there’s no reason at all to destroy the core, it doesn’t give you any more REQ’s or XP, and it ends the game early so there’s no time to get commendations, so unless 343 rewards you for destroying the core, i and a lot of other people are going to keep on farming kills.
The solution to warzone farming is to incentivize ending the game. You could add points to the player that destroys the core. But since they’re already getting the win, what does that add, really?
The other possibility is to punish not ending the game. If the core is exposed for three minutes and the losing side endures 12 spawn kills, unlock Bandanna for the losing side; after enduring three more minutes and 12 more spawn kills, unlock Scarab! The potential for the match flipping would induce the winning side to get it over with.
Farming doesn’t occur a lot, but when it does…Oh Boy!
I kinda get tempted to throw my controller out the window…
Incentives for blowing up the enemy’s core please! Maybe like a HUGE RP or XP reward, talking Mythic Boost here…
We are farmers, bum bum bum bum bum bum bum

Quit trying to defend farming dude you make yourself look like a tool we’re just trying to find a solution. If you’re for farming you’re a tool.

You’re a piece of -Yoink-. When you farm, you’re locking people into a game that is no longer any fun simply because you wanna see a number become bigger.
The reason to stop farming? Games end quicker, so you get your REQ points faster, so you can move on to the next game, so you can complete that, and get MORE REQ points. Also, it means the other team can move on and stop wasting their time on a game that is dreadfully awful.
Honestly, think of how many REQ points you could have if your team stormed in, destroyed the core, rinse, lather, and repeat?

Here’s an idea; why don’t you not let them get to the core. its that simple. try flipping the map; say they have the west armoury and the spire and are attacking heavy on your east armoury. when a boss spawns sneak around and attack their west armoury. it’s time for players to use their brain rather than their mouths. reporting players for having more skill than you is the lamest move in the world. it’s not their fault you suck at the game and are a poor loser. take your loss and learn from it. do what ever you can to make sure that doesn’t happen again. players shouldn’t be punished because you are not very good at this game and they killed you. hahahaha. time for people to nut up and not come here to -Yoink- about losing when there is a lot of more important things 343 should be working on like additional playlists. they shouldn’t be concerned about you getting killed a bunch. That sounds more like a personal issue.
ok until the part that puts both cores at risk
