Warzone isn’t even enjoyable anymore once you get trapped inside your home base and the enemy just sit outside, never coming in to destroy your core. I literally just sit at the back of the base to not add to their padded stats.
Proposed Change: Introduce a REQ called “Selected Spawn” (common) that let’s you choose any base to spawn at, excluding the enemies home base. Make these things drop like candy.
This way you can co-ordinate a spawn with team mates to spawn at X location and take that base. The req cost 1 req point and can only be used if the enemy holds all 3 bases.
It wouldn’t require any changes to the maps, and would simply be an addition to the REQ system.
I completely disagree with that idea.
I personally think that there should be a kill timer set to the inside of the base around the core room.
for example if your full health and in the core room you got 5 seconds and then you start getting the out of bounds red screen. Which will encourage just destroying the core. Or which I think is kinda ridiculous but instant death under the same circumstances. There should be gauge of who is killing more and based on farming statistics the game outta know when there’s farming. To implement this. I dunno just a idea.
really there just needs to be incentive to finish hte game faster, i remember when warzone was first getting really popular every one was triyng to see who could finish the fastest with the largest spread or points.
really if they just implemented winning a game in 10 minutes or less you get X amount more req points that would solve a lot of issues.

But there are a lot of people who don’t care about RP and farm for Achilles.

There’s a few groups that do. I don’t know how many times it has to be said, Achilles has little to no effect on farming.

My fireteam were spawned trap during warzone turbo but we had fun defending and put up some resistance- also the opposing team was a full fireteam with some familiar online friends so it was kinda fun
I can see several issues with this. One of the ways to win a Warzone match is to destroy the enemy core. With this it would be almost impossible to do that making the only way to win be getting to a 1000 VP. I just don’t see this be implemented plus with it being a REQ item, people who already have a ton of REQ stored will have a ton of these and with them “dropping like candy” it will be just like the mongoose at the beginning of Halo 5’s life.

I’ve never been “farmed” until Achilles was introduced. So I don’t believe that statement at all.
Are you sure its farming or just bad match making? I played two WZ games back to back and both we got owned bad on Saturday. I later went and looked at the details. It was not a company (as in an organised party of 12) in either match as far as I could tell. Just bad matchmaking. But it was so bad that I didn’t play any for the rest of the weekend. But it is obvious organised parties of 6 or bigger are a real and ongoing issue.

Could be; it’s not so bad in Warzone Turbo, but regular Warzone is ridiculous.
They need to introduce incentive to complete the game and get cores.
Example: Achilles variants for game type commendations, and higher reqs the quicker the match. 2500 under 5min, 2300 under 10min, 1700 under 15 min, and 1500 any longer than 15 min.

Considering farming has existed since the very first days of Halo 2, you don’t have to believe me lol.
I think the blow of these farming matches wouldn’t be as bad for me if I had friends who played halo 5, or an SC. Just don’t let it get to you. Play the game as a game

People were already farming personal commendations and I have no idea why that doesn’t seem to occur to anyone. Also, “it’s never happened to me therefore it doesn’t exist” is a major logical fallacy. You are one person. You are not a statistically significant sample size. I could just as easily conclude that because I was farmed prior to Achilles, you must have been farmed as well. You’ll notice that does not make any sense.
I’m sure there were some folks farming for personal commendations, but not to the extend that groups are doing today. There will always be farmers or spawn traps in Halo, but with the rise of Achilles you are seeing more and more farming happening, like trapping the team in their bases, which is why you are hearing the outcry.
If you give incentives for a team to take out the core quickly that might help… or perhaps if one team has all the bases and has more than 500 points the game ends so the losing team doesn’t have to sit around forever being farmed.
