Basically, enemy team snowballs ahead, you don’t have the REQ level to get out Rocket Launchers or similar weapons to kill those damn Banshees or Phaetons, and any attempt to leave a base results in instant death. What a painintheass. And then when you finally DO get enough to pull out that Rocket Launcher, you get picked off the instant you try to use it, wasting a REQ and giving your enemies a laugh because you actually tried to defend yourself.
End result? You get punished by the system because it can’t tell the damn difference between “feeding” and “having a bad game”.
But seriously the best way to catch up or to get kills in warzone firefight is use a ghost or wraith. In the ghost primarily go for splatters, same kinda for wrath but you can shoot more as well.
Bosses have saved both my team and the enemy team from otherwise defeat in multiple games. You can’t lose if you get all the bosses (unless the enemy team cores you).

Sneak off kill a boss, solo cap a base and watch your req level skyrocket.
I have noticed that since the boss refresh, games drag out forever even though it’s usually pretty clear which team has the better players and will likely win. Yeah you can cap bases blah blah blah. In the end the team winning the one on one gunfights (better players) will usually win. Usually about 5 minutes into the match we all know who will win. Takes another 15 to close it out.
It’s possible to overcome, but I do agree that it’s an annoying mechanic that those who are really good are awarded with power weapons, while those who struggle are essentially left with sticks and a rock. The logic behind it makes sense, but it stratifies the playing field rather than leveling it. I really can’t think of a good solution tho
For me, it’s pretty much over once the other team takes the middle base. Taking it back from them is almost impossible. After they take the middle, pack it in because unless you have a full team and make a coordinated push with REQs, you’re wasting your time. Complete waste of twenty minutes. Not even worth wasting the REQs really.
