Warzone Exploit...not really

Lately, the forums have seen players addressing how “unfair” Warzone has become because 12 man teams are coordinating to win.
-How is playing with friends unfair?
-How is out slaying the enemy team unfair
-How is strategy unfair
-How is backing the enemy into a corner to prevent them from making a come back unfair?
-How is it that players don’t form their own Warzone team to have a fighting chance once they’ve gone through one of “those” games

if your team has been triple capped and is now staked out in your core room then that’s on you and your team. Both teams start at 0 REQs and have a fair advantage on each map (except Apex 7). Even then you, the player who has been playing this game for sometime should have someone on you roster who is down to play with you. Searching solo in any playlist is always a bad idea if you’re looking to win, why should WZ be any different?

The reality of the situation is that 343 wants us to play WZ. It offers the most RP points, so imagine it as the gold rush. Players are finding methods to making it more simple for them. A month ago the forums were filled with topics about boss steals. Well these 12 man groups have found a way to never have to worry about that by making sure the enemy is nowhere near a boss. Call it an exploit, but it is a strategy.

If you are personally sick of losing to a 12 man team then form your own or join a Spartan Company that is looking for players. Heck you might get Achilles and make a few friends.

Does anyone know if you can destroy your own core once it is vulnerable? It would be a hilarious way to piss off a team wanting to farm kills.

Nope. Believe me, I’ve tried. It’s either spend 10-15 minutes getting spawn-killed for minimal REQ points, or quitting.

You can’t

Dang that sucks? Not even with vehicles or anything?

I think just being able to destroy your own core as a last resort would be all they need. That way they don’t have to worry about a forfeit button or anything.

Of course it would only be doeable after a minute or two of not reaching a base to be able to destroy your own core to prevent teammates from doing it prematurely.

Players often stand by their core hoping that collateral damage will be inflicted on the core. That’s one way.

Don’t try to defend it they are just farming kills so they can get Achilles. That’s not earning the armor that’s just being cheap. It’s like when Recon was given out because 343i took over. You own it but you didn’t earn it.

Your solution for this is pretty terrible, let’s be honest here. Most of us don’t pop in Warzone to have a full competing list of players to rush to all bases and trap the enemy at the core until it’s over. There are so many reasons for players to simply not party up or be in full fireteams, circumstances like time, language, performance and skill, knowledge that places like this even exist or because they don’t take it so incredibly serious, yet expect a nice round from this meant-to-be casual playlist anyway.
Great that the only way to prevent this sucky thing to happen is to do it the sucky way too. Wonderful.

And no, your strategy is not unfair (though 12er vs 12 randoms is pretty obviously inbalanced), it’s what happens after. The way you put it, those boss kill stealing threads were made by people complaining about the uncertainty of their win (what else). However, trapping your enemy in the core is the most laughable excuse I’ve heard to prevent that. Oh yeah, great strategy, great thing that you came up with, your mother should be proud.

You wanna win so bad? Then destroy the core already. That’s all they are asking, that’s all people are complaining about, that they are getting farmed.
We don’t give a damn if you are oh so strategic. We might not agree with your ways of having fun in Warzone when it’s only about the victory but in no way would we want to ruin that for you. And most certainly is it no great achievement to be outslaying 12randoms when you coordinate, just look at where the 4teamv4randoms in arena already gets you, it’s insane. Now multiply that by 3. No, no one really complains about it because of what you said.

All what the people are requesting is for those teams to stop being so full of themselves, get to the -Yoink!- core, and stop farming the players like their time and enjoyment is more important than their opponents. What childish, inconsiderate and pitiful behavior even is that. They want to win so bad? Then they should go for the objective, not ruin it for everyone else involved.

That’s all what these threads are about and nothing else. And don’t put that on 343, you (not saying you, but those teams) chose to do it this way and therefore are you responsible for it.

But the real issue is not getting our -Yoink- kick by a 12 men fireteam. The actual issue is that those 12 men party end up spawn killing you and not destroying the core.

I am so glad people like you exist on these forums.

If you can’t beat’em, join them. It’s the natural Order of Halo. Someone once told me, before release, that there aren’t going to be full teams running in a casual playlist like Warzone. That was silly, of course people are going take advantage of Scrubs in WZ.

Playing WZ by yourself sometimes goes well, more so if you can carry, but you need a team.

I disagree with this. By the time that happens you will have at least a fuel rod. Grow up, be an adult (like we are supposed to be to play this game) and do what you have to in order to turn the tables. Be creative, use active camo. Go cap a base. Kill one for one. Too many people get butt hurt because things aren’t going “their way”. Life is hard, deal with adversity, find a solution to the problem and drive on.

Thats a dumb suggestion Brock “grow up” people don’t have time to be friends with 12 people and farm kills what the hell is wrong with you? Are you 12?

No, i’m not 12. I go in by myself all the time. Regardless of the outcome of the match, you don’t go whine and cry about losing. Even the best coordinated teams can be disrupted even with one player going down.

And most certainly is it no great achievement to be outslaying 12randoms when you coordinate, just look at where the 4teamv4randoms in arena already gets you, it’s insane. Now multiply that by 3. No, no one really complains about it because of what you said.

What childish, inconsiderate and pitiful behavior even is that. They want to win so bad? Then they should go for the objective, not ruin it for everyone else involved.

Myself and others have tried this, most of the time if nearly an entire team is outside your base someone will see your invisibility “shimmer” and then one shot now you visible to the whole team. Like -Yoink!- said the issue isnt them ganging up on us, it the fact that none of them try to take the core, they all hold outside of the base with tanks, wraiths, mantis’, banshees, ghosts, fuel rods, and snipers.
