Did 343 change the despawn time back? There have been multiple occasions this morning where I died in a location where I’m almost positive nobody picked up the gun I had and by the time I come back it’s gone.
Anyone else experience that?
You have 20 seconds to get back to your gun before it despawns. so after respawn time i believe it is around 10-12 seconds. i forget. If you got there before the timer ran out, and you are sure of it, somebody picked it up

I’m not an idiot. I know the amount of time they changed it to. My question is whether or not they’ve changed it back because I’ll get to my gun in maybe 5 seconds after respawn and its gone.
Anyone else notice?

I highly doubt they would change the despawn time in an update just to change it back a week later. Unless you’ve physically timed how long it takes you to get back to where your weapon was, you have no way of knowing if the time has run out. After your respawn time, the seconds go by quicker than you think when you’re running to try and recover a weapon.
And like others have said, it’s very possible that an enemy or teammate has picked it up, especially if you’re in a Spartan-dense firefight.
So glad they changed it from 5 seconds to 20 seconds. I don’t wanna spawn a Nornfang, die immediately and have it disappear
go to theater mode and check the match. I don’t think 343 would of done that right after saying they changed it. Doing it without saying anything would be a horrible idea and illogical on their part.
Increased despawn time is good. Period
