Warzone Classic

What other ideas can they implement to a new Warzone mode easily?

Warzone Turbo for example probably took minimal effort to implement and yet was a hit with fans. What else could they do to spice up Warzone a bit in this fashion?

I personally would like a slower paced Warzone in terms of reqs earned and mabey even what reqs you are able to use. Possibly a slightly longer Warzone game mode would he created from this.

The reason I brought this up is because of my memories from Halo 5 closer to its launch. Not everyone had a huge supply of insane req weapons. While I do love most of the variants of weapons 343 has created, I would love to return back to what I consider to be simpler times.

Sounds like what you want is a little “Warzone Classic”, which would be a special gametype where you’re only allowed to use REQs that existed at the game’s launch.* Seems like a fun idea to me. However, all their work is going into HALO Infinite right now, so I don’t expect anything new coming out of this game ever again.

*does not apply to armor, skins, or emblems, because that would be asinine.

Well you said easily…that kind of put my Ideas away.

Well as Caroniver already stated, they are focusing a lot on Halo Infinite so we can’t expect much if at all. So simple things like this would be more doable for whatever small of the team is left on 5.

Promethean vs Covenant. You get to play as a Promethean or Covenant soldier.

While that would be fun… I think you missed the point of staying in the realm of possible.

I know, I just thought it would be a fun little idea.

I’d have to vote for a more “Classic” Warzone. I used to love Warzone when it first launched; it was like BTB except more of a war-like feel with objectives, outposts, spawnable vehicles, AI Marine Guards, and AI opponents such as the Covenant and Prometheans mixed in. I loved it with my first week of Halo 5 being nothing but Warzone.

Now though? Eh. Last game I played you had two enemy Hannibal Wasps on Stormbreaker and it completely shut down the one Armory my team had. Anyone who tried to step outside died instantly to those rail cannons, including those who did pull out what REQs they could to futilely fight them off.

Warzone’s become too much of a stompfest. Once one team’s ahead and has the REQ points, just spam your Hannibals or Banshees or other vehicles and its just shooting fish in the barrel as the other team will not pull their own REQs to even the odds as they’ll find it to be a waste most of the time or they just don’t have them to spare.

Would love a Classic Warzone playlist. Lose the more OP vehicles and weapons and restrict it to the more “common” stuff I guess. I think just having the base variant REQs (regular Warthogs, Ghosts, Scorpions, Wasps, etc) could be enough. Just something to bring back those games that depended a bit more on strategy and fighting and guarding the outposts rather than roll out with your super cars and kill everything.

Maybe a variant where you can use without restriction all the loadout weapons and not vehicles during at least the first 10 minutes, after that the req levels start (to be able to buy a power weapon , an armor mod or a vehicle)…

Warzone capped at req level 3 or 4 and maybe a slower timer would be fun. I agree it was so much better those first few months. The idea of warzone with it’s maps and AI is pretty good, it’s req spam that ruins it.
