I hope there isnʻt a wishlist thread for something like this…
Besides the REQs, they would need to change up other things without it being repetitive. The difference of Warzone compared to other modes is that modes like Slayer are made to be what they are to be… a team-deathmatch. Warzone was marketed out to be a wholesome fun chaos to do anything you want that you could do in other Halo modes. And yet, after a while it feels just like a normal dominion mode in due time. In order to fix the problem, they should rid the goal of being a one objective and this time, its a mode with many modes.
In other words, a 30 minute game to 3000 points where this time, rotating modes in action. I would rid the all base control then destroy core mode, but, only can control the main neutral building in the center of the map. Controlling that would be the default goal that automatically gives 1 point per second the longer held. If contested, point stops. Other default goals to gain points would be the same as killing players and killing AI bosses.
But the action starts when the rotating modes come in for 2 minutes. For example, Oddball would be one mode except… there are there are 3 balls. You have one, you are marked on the map. Every 2 seconds is one point. If at a certain area, the point increases a balanced amount. Another mode, King of the Hill where there is one point in the hill and every 2 seconds is a point as well. I guess more could be Juggernaught mode where a player would be made to be a Juggernaut that only increases HP, decreases speed but damage is the same. Killing the Juggernaut would give an X amount of points. There can be many more like Griffball or CTF. As well some modes dont need to give points but dropped arsenal in a neutral area. Many returning modes that people can see could be Stockpile (stealing teamʻs flags) and 1 flag CTF (flag in the middle). Or even new modes that can be created like probably Supply run, you would defend a reinforced truck to get to its destination before the enemy destroy it. Although im just spewing now.
However many of these modes require some large landscapes. So yes, the maps would be forced to be larger maybe. Althought I am certain that if that can be possibly modified until a new Warzone, Halo Warzone can be better and more exciting. And please leave your personal ideas out of the thread, rather keep the subject on discussing the possibility of my idea.
