Lately, I’ve been constantly getting into games where reqs are unusable. Sometimes they become available after a good 10 minutes, most of the time I’m stuck with a pistol all game while scavenging for BRs dropped by other players.
If the starting weapon was a BR instead of the pistol, the reqs being unusable would be far less problematic, being stuck with the pistol all game constantly leaves you at a disadvantage. And considering its a level 3 unlock, I really don’t see any issues in this solution. Opinions?

I don’t mind at all when I can use reqs, I mean it takes maybe 1:30 at the most for someone to be able to use them. Its just very problematic when you end up in a game where you can’t use reqs while everyone else can.
They should not change the formula for warzone completely just because there is a bug in the game. i agree its annoying to get stuck with a pistol for the whole game (I’ve had many where i am never able to access a single req at all), but it does not warrant a complete change. 343 have more important things to do.
br starts would change assault completely, and take away part of the fun. i also find that if i get stuck with a pistol and need a BR i can usually find one easily on the ground, so its not a huge problem if it happens to me sometimes. i got over 30 kills one game with never being able to access REQs.
Actually they should rather fix that REQ issue than giving everyone BR from start. It will only shove the issue back, as people will start complaining they get DMRd while stuck to BR cuz of the REQ bug. Than people want DMR starts…
It’s not that big of an issue as i still end up being top 5 player of the game while no access to REQ.
They should work on a Solution to the problem, not a work around

As long as it’s broken for EVERYONE. When that happens they are the best Warzone matches IMO, but when it’s only you or 2-3 people, you just get -Yoinked!- up over and over and over and over…

No. They should just fix this specific bug.
I have wittnessed this bug as well, and hell it is annoying. But the solution to fix this, is to simply fix this specific bug. Sadly 343i is a bunch of lazy noodles that dont care about optimizing their current game rather than throwing out useless garbage like pizza skins.

Its just like playing Arena really. You need a weapon, scoop it off the ground. There’s usually like, 20 BRs on the ground by REQ 4.

Not sure, I see your point but if the game became BR starts then nobody would use pistols, meanwhile there are times that completely dominate with just pistols.

well it is not as fun when only some people have broken reqs. but i still find it fun to have broken reqs sometimes even when others don’t. especially on noctus.

I would definitely prefer the bug to be fixed, but I honestly don’t think that will happen. Knowing them they’ll just blame it on your personal connection. But I understand what you’re saying.
I have never been in a game where everyone lacks reqs, but quite often in fact I end up in games where I am the only one without reqs and I find these the most frustrating because warzone is extremely “snowbally” in that the team that gets to their BR’s first will then get farther and farther ahead as they keep getting better weapons first and personally I love games like this where I somehow get a crazy start and get like 10 or more kills in the first 5 minutes of the game which inevitably results in me sitting somewhere staring at a spawn with a Nornfang at 10 minutes, especially on Stormbreak, oh I love the spawns on that map. The req system is broken af and 5 months after release a core part of a game of this magnitude should not be as dysfunctional as the req system in Halo 5 is.
