So honestly I don’t like the whole last shot = the team getting the points. Its really annoying when you have your team killing the boss and some random comes up and snipes it. Especially when there are 2 enemy wraiths attacking a boss and I am able to shot once to steal the points.
I don’t know about you guys but I would rather have it most damage dealt=team getting the points. Would give it more of a reason for both teams to fight at that boss location instead of few people luckily sniping the boss kills with BRs.
I didn’t mind this mechanic to start with, but it is becoming a very common tactic to only snipe the boss as his health gets near zero and I am getting a bit over it.
I am not really a fan of most damage dealt = team getting points as it does not allow for a last minute comeback.
Someone suggested hiding the bosses health bar so players don’t know when the boss is about to drop. This would still allow for last minute steals but would make the feat more impressive.

When I think of MOBA games, it always was like this. Even though we can’t really compare MOBA to FPS the point is still the same. Last shot always wins.

I’m feeling like hiding the health would be the best option

Hiding the health if you’re beyond a certain distance would be a wonderful solution I believe.
Would hiding the health change that much? It would be tested early, but once people get a feel for the ttk for the bosses, it would still become the same idea.
I know they went for the MOBA approach, but I think that is what breaks the game type (for people like me). There’s very little incentive for a team that is behind to take down bosses, since the other dominating team has the advantage in these cases. Then again, maybe it would work better if the game was more balanced. From what I’ve seen, Warzone tends to be a shutout instead of a close battle like arena matches.

That could be a useful addition, but I’d still rather see the Bosses get their points awarded per a split of damage dealt as well as acknowledge whoever landed the killing blow. Killing blow team should get an amount between 1/4 to 1/2 of the bosses value; 343i could test to see what works best. The remaining boss value should be split amongst the teams per damage dealt and why not include the “hiding the boss’s health beyond certain distances” as another means to provide better gameplay balance and enjoyment.
