Warzone Boss Points

I’m pretty sure a lot of people feel that the points awarded by killing bosses is a bit unbalanced.
Regular bosses are 25 points which is fair.
Legendary bosses are 100 points which is a little steep.
Mythic bosses are 200 points and that’s absurd.
No doubt when a losing team takes out the mythic boss and become equal or a head of the enemy team, it feels really good.

However, I still say the the bosses are unbalanced.
Regular-25
Legendary-50
Mythic-100

Do you guys think that’s fair?

Also, I hate having two Mantises on Noctus. It’s a little unfair. I love fair and fun games. Though, I’m not gonna lie, I love pulverizing the enemy team.

Yeah, I like this idea. I don’t think a team losing by 150 points should be able to spring back by kill-stealing Endurance-Of-Will. I think there should be more emphasis on the bases and the core.

My problem with that is the ARC. Once the core is exposed, it’s damn near impossible to escape and get a base if you’re being targeted by tanks, banshees, snipers, and phaetons. Stormbreak also has a bit of an issue with this. The only way to get out is with a banshee or ghost.

Eh, that’s pretty much any map. I recently played a game on Sanctum, and we had a Wraith spammer on the left, a Banshee on top of us, an ONI Wasp to the distance right where our airspace would be, 2 DMR campers to our southeast, and a sniper on our southwest. This was all in the North Garage, I think.

The snowball effect is a mean mistress, and she only grows colder. It’s the primary flaw of Warzone.

True, though the other options are cloak with a heavy weapon or sneak by with the Prophet’s Bane. Also, you mentioned something about yellow tag in another post. What’t that?

it is fair. if you watch any sweaty warzone games the bosses are completely balanced

Which post, exactly? On what thread?

this would make wz games go for like 30-40 minutes. the system is fine the way it is.

A 30 to 40 minute match doesn’t sound completely terrible. Horribly impractical? Yes. But I doubt matches would last that long because people would charge bases and go for cores more often, instead of simply kill stealing bosses.

yeah, people would most likely resort to triple capping if that horrible boss system got added. 100 points for a mythic is way too low

I think it’s fine as is, warzone isn’t about balance at all really. It’s about team work, communication, and strategy.

another thing… back on OG warzone legendary bosses were 150, and mythic bosses were 250 i believe… it was a while ago

I would be fine with a decrease in points for legendary and mythic bosses just a bit but I wouldn’t care either way.

Again, I wouldn’t say it’s horrible. Stealing a mythic boss kill with a -Yoinking- DMR is simply not something that should ever turn the tide.

i disagree. if the enemy team steals the boss then they steal the boss. if the loss has 1 health left than anything can kill it so its fair.

So it’s fair if I’ve been coordinating vehicles and strategically controlling bases only to have it squandered by one DMR camper getting that last shot in? That’s like saying a pound of gold is more valuable than the world’s entire silver supply. It makes no sense.

that analogy makes no sense at all lol, if you want the boss then slay the enemy team around it. don’t have both teams surround it because its a 50-50

The analogy was basically saying that the one DMR shot (pound of gold) should never out-value base coordination and control (world’s silver supply). Also, again, the scenario isn’t a 2 team fight. It’s one guy taking an entire team’s work with his Sentinel DMR a mile away. That places more value on one shot than it does on a Scorpion barrage. In what world is that fair and makes remote sense? That’s basically what the current kill-stealing system allows.

you know theres a warzone commercial that has a spartan stealing a boss with a magnum when the other team has a mantis and scorpion on it. so 343 knew that this would be a strategy. if yo don’t like it then . don’t go for bosses

343 are the same people that gave us that Mister Chief REQ system commercial. Their advertising isn’t exactly a beacon of logical thinking.
