Now I’m saying this as this: POINTS ARE FINE FROM DISTRIBUTION!
The other side of what I mean: An enemy landing the last shot, while your team does all damage, grants them the kill…
Now here’s how I feel after losing a game because of that.
Turns off Xbox Cries
Now here’s what should happen.
Points are distributed mid-fight with the boss, AKA: Points are earned while killing the boss. Not after the ending kill
Whoever lands a killing blow lands an extra +10 Points or something to their team, and depending on how much damage a team deals, points would be dished out mid-battle with the AI Boss
The current system seems so flawed, because an enemy with a Sentinel BR could snipe the boss when your team does 99% of it’s health, and that BR Shot happens to kill him, giving his team the 150 Points.
I get what youre saying but id rather the points be distributed in 2 halves. 50% for dealing the boss the most damage to half health and the remaining 50% for dealing the final blow.
This allows the team who was doing all the work to be rewarded as well as allowing the other team to steal some points.
TThis gives incentive to kill off the other team before fighting the boss and still rewards sneakyness.
This has happened in both games of warzone I have played. My team was putting in work on the boss, someone tosses a grenade from across the map. Everyone dead. One BR shot to the head. Then you hear the rage!!! lol. I don’t plan on playing warzone until they change it.

Far too many games end with a random shot grabbing the kill on Warden Eternal regardless of who did the most damage to him. Makes everything before that a little pointless.
I don’t understand how 343 overlooked this as bosses pretty much make all the difference whether your team loses or not. Personally I think the best thing would be to give the points to which ever team does the most damage OR points based on the individual damage done by the players.
Far to many times have a seen someone with less than 5 spartan kills and 1300+ points from camping bosses. I have even got 50 spartan kills in one game and we ended up losing 1000-300. That was with me getting 2 boss kills too. Wtf?
I think the idea behind it is to work together. Get 2 or 3 on over watch looking for enemy Spartans and the rest DPS on the boss. But I have to agree with the OP about how I feel when it happens to me, especially from long distance.
Its fine as it is since it does not matter who does the most dmg to lets say warden eternal, this allows the other team to catch up if needed and if you loose because someone stole the 150pts boss then its unfortunate but you gonna have to live with it.
I love it when me and/or my buddies sneak up to the boss and steal it in the last second with a good nade or binary shot for example, the feel that you get for absolutely wrecking the enemy team and basically making it possible for your team to win again is awesome and it should stay.
I may also add that there are 12 people in each team if one guy has the bright idea to use the enemies vehicles for example against them its fair enough right, everyone could do that its just a matter of smart thinking.
The best tactic I found is to ignore the boss and focus on killing the enemy players instead. When big bosses show up, especially Warden Eternal, far too many players focus so solely on killing it that they ignore everything else around them. Makes them easy kills and reduces the chance of them scoring the kill.
That said I think I would like to play a version of Warzone which had only the 25 point bosses in it. Taking and holding bases is where most of the action and fun is, fighting bosses just comes down to blindly shooting at them from a distance most of the time. In fact the 150 point bosses tend to be far less threatening due to spawning out in the open or in the air and then just sitting there letting you shoot them at range. 25 point bosses are in closer quarters mostly.
they should just give the boss 2 health bars. One bar for the blue team and the other for the red. which ever team takes down their bar first gets the kill
They saved their req points, popped a high power weapon, and got the kill… you gotta have your team doing some situational awareness to merc other spartans rolling up for the kill steal.
This has happened to me too damn many times. I called in my LAST DAMN SCORPION to finish off the Warden eternal and some -Yoink- across the map took the kill from me.
Sure we won because I took said Scorpion and rammed it up the dorsal sections of the enemy team…but its a PAIN
Agreed, but I think it should be 50 points for a kill, 100 points distributed for damage. In my opinion it makes sense for them to be worth more than normal bosses, but a team doing more damage should be better rewarded.
