Warzone base notifications.

One thing that annoys me about warzone is the lack of notification if your base is being captured. Palmer doesn’t say anything, and often the icon doesn’t even appear if you’re looking directly at the base in question if its far away.

All I would suggest is palmer to say “Spartan we’re losing the (location name)” and maybe three small icons on the bottom right above the score indicating who’s the base statuses.

I’m actually ok with this. It means that I have to check locations every so often and trust that enough of my teammates are also doing this to cover the gaps. It forces people to play the game properly and not just run all over the map looking for kills.

And the distance thing makes a fair amount of sense. Realistically speaking, unless the capture is contested for a while you’re not going to have time to run from your base on Stormbreak to the far armory. On ARC I think all tha points show up because you’re typically pretty close to all of them, and that makes sense because it’s a short sprint over.

All this being said, it wouldn’t hurt to have one callout per capture, as long as they don’t spam it like when she announces the core needs defending.

Situational awareness is key.

You have valid points but I feel that the status’s of all three bases should be visable at all tmes, because a lot of the time they’re hidden.

You can’t be aware of something you cant see.

Yes please!!!

I want Today on Arc I was checking if we still had 2nd armory but couldn’t see icon with scope in or out

I think the base icon in the lower right corner flashes when it’s being taken over, but I hardly ever notice it because I’m paying attention to everything else going on.

I’m kind of mixed on the issue. I would like more prominent indicators of a base, but doing so would pretty much eliminate the ability to sneaky cap a base which can be a game saver in certain situations.

Spartans have advanced computers in their helmets that are supposed to feed them real-time tactical information. There needs to be a persistent Capture Status for all three bases in the bottom right corner of the HUD, as well as a health bar for the core (either enemy or friendly) when all bases are captured. I shouldn’t have to turn and look at the core to find out its HP level when I’m only 30 feet to the right of it shooting at enemies outside the base.

This is true, if a giant beacon went up each time you tried to cap a base it would basically call all enemies onto you and eliminate the value of stealth. I think the lack of callout here is because of balancing.
