After Anvil’s update, we were able to form a team of 12 and play Warzone Assault but a few days later we can’t anymore. Any idea why?
Because it was relatively easy for a 12 man team to come in and lock down every spawn in the area, and farm for 15 minutes.
If they bring back 12 man fireteams, then they need to bring matchmaking parties fighting parties first.

Which should have been in to begin with but I digress.
Then again, why locking out full parties from searching in Firefight instead of putting back the feature for parties against parties of equal size is beyond me.

Because the latter is easier to do, on top of the fact that they already did it once before.

I was attempting to get a fireteam together for this game type, and I’ve heard the stories of locking spawns…and it’s just my opinion they’re shooting themselves in the foot by limiting it…the community has the means to produce large fireteam for this game type. Wouldn’t it be more logical for 343 to fix the problems with the spawns? Rather than do the easy fix and lock the committed players out…they already made warzone a game type that is nearly useless to play without a 12 man squad…they’ve made tons of money on reqs…you’d figure some of that money could go back into redesigning some maps and not taking it out on the population for their mistakes…I’m hoping this is only a temporary thing…furthermore on the subject of being unfair to randomly drawn players getting tossed into games against teams, suck it up…farming is so loosely thrown around anymore it’s sickening, tho I know it happens at times and it sucks…but the facts remain the same if you have people that have played together enough so to form a unit and work together farming or not is going to destroy more times than not teams that do not have the capability to communicate or lack strategy…these types of players are not the enemy, they have adapted to a very competitive environment using means which are open and available to every single player in the world…team up, it’s fun…practice good sportsmanship and report those who do not…this isn’t directed to anybody in this chat directly but it’s my belief that there is a huge difference between farming and lobby stomping

There is a huge difference between farming and lobby stomping.
The problem is the farming, and Warzone Assault makes farming easy. At the end of the day, it’s the Defense’s game to lose. As long as they don’t lose, they can keep farming.
Lobby stomping is it’s own separate problem. You can lobby stomp without farming.
The point is, parties should be priority matched against other parties before they are matched against random single players, and vice versa. This is just a problem with Halo 5 in general. Otherwise you’re just pushing solo players away.

So the question becomes, what is 343 saying about this issue…because I’d like to get a squad running in this game but looks like I’m late to the dance

We don’t know that party vs party isn’t already a priority, and for whatever reason just wouldn’t make for good matching. I mean, if the population for the WZA playlist is particularly low, then getting party v. party matches that have stable connections, low ping, and comparable skill with everyone would be pretty difficult. It probably is the case that party size isn’t the first priority in the matchmaking, because I’m betting connection quality and player skill are just as prioritized (if not more so). And the less people playing the playlist, the less likely a game will satisfy all those matchmaking conditions optimally, so at least one condition will have to be sacrificed to allow the game to go on at all.

That is a really good question. I haven’t seen or heard 343 addressing this issue or even releasing a statement in regards to this (the lock of warzone assault, I mean).
