Just recently me and a bud were playin’ Warzone Assault on Summit. Around 2 or 3mins into the game most of my teammates die including myself. I see some cheeky -Yoink- teabagging around our spawning area and all of us spawn all the way where Warden spawns. Each death all of us witness a -Yoink- teabagging cause he knows that we can’t spawn due to him being there.
It was some gay -Yoink- I tell you hwat. I mean -Yoink!- Bobbeh. I’m sorry Dad. We just didn’t want you taking our base.
(Fix it 343)
Yeah. Summit seems to be one of the maps that they didn’t fix spawns on. They did a decent job with Urban and stopping the enemy team from just rushing there, but Summit still seems to have the original spawn setup that it did before. Apex 7’s Assault variant is another one they didn’t seem to touch since I keep running into people standing behind the team spawns and nailing people with pistol before they can properly react.

I actually have no problems spawning at the Warden spawn, more protected and height advantage. However I’d like to see the vehicle spawn point on Summit for the defenders removed, again, yesterday we had some ten warthogs lined up on the floor and ghosts all over. The first five vehicles are easily hijacked when they come out but as the scout hogs and ghosts starr piling up like a hoarder lived there, it becomes more and more difficult to hijack or kill a driver, and they buy themselves some time by not allowing the capture to proceed, and when one is handled, the next hog comes out of hiding.
I however dislike the new spawns on Urban. Played two assault matches yesterday on Urban as a defender, and both times it ended up with us defending the Garage and the attackers started spawning more or less on the armory. This then became a problem when the garage was eventually captured and they had immediate access to the armory.
Unfortunately the maps that work well for default Warzone don’t seem to cut it in Assault, and the ones that are good for Assault don’t do well in normal Warzone. Kind of counterintuitive but I’ve noticed that Dispatch and Summit work best for Assault, but Apex 7 and Noctus work best for vanilla Warzone. Not sure why, but maps seem to flow differently enough that it makes a huge difference with specific spawns. Urban and the Apex 7 Assault map are way too easy to camp spawns on. Summit still has its issues as the “line” for forcing spawn switches is very easy to avoid crossing, and by staying right behind it the defenders can force the attackers to spawn down below them in a kill box.
We need a map that gives the attackers the high ground, and forces the defenders to actually defend - stick to cover, try to outlast the offensive. That’s the entire point to the game mode, but too many of these maps encourage the defenders to go on the attack instead.
