Warzone Assault spawning too far away

I notice the distance to spawn in is completely random. sometimes i spawn close up, sometimes i spawn way far away. and idk if its something to do with the other team and how well they are playing but for me they are sometimes a huge hinder, both defense and offense. whenever it does happen it causes us to lose. in one defense game we were doing well but lost the first objective at close call so we had to fall back to 2nd objective. when we were dying it was spawning us all the way back at objective 3 so it was taking us so long to get to the objective that they were easily overtaking it. and another time we were on offense and we were smashing these guys, they couldnt put up a fight for anything, but after we got to phase 3 we were getting spawned all the way back at phase 1 so when we died we were spawning all the way back at the beginning and it slowed our advance so badly that they were able to win because it took 20 sec every time to get back to where we were. that needs to get fixed. they need to have an equal distance spawn thats about fairly half way between the objectives for both sides.its what makes the matches too predictable when it happens when it either spawns us too far or right up on the objective. if it does spawn us close we know we are 99% more likely going to win this. when it keeps spawning us a mile away, you might as well accept lose. and the thing is sometimes we are dominating and its like we are getting punished. there is no one on the enemy team getting close to objective but yet it spawns us a mile away and when they are on the objective they still spawn my team far away. so what gives about the spawning? because i dont feel its about how well a team is doing. so if you could fix, that would be great.

I noticed this too, but I think there’s some sort of logic behind it. If your team is capturing a base you are more likely to spawn close to that base, if the enemy is holding it then you might spawn farther. Yesterday in a match I spawned on pinnacle with another player, even if we had to destroy the core. Then I saw one of the enemies was trying to spawn kill some of us at the armory, we killed him and our team went back to spawn at the armory or close to their base.

So I guess it kind of depends on both your and the enemy’s team position on the map. I noticed in more than one match that this and something else influences your spawn location. Like if you’re about to lose a base you might spawn close to the next one, etc. I wouldn’t say it’s random, but these might be coincidences, who knows.

“Oh, enemies are half-way don taking your base? That’s cool. But do you know what be really cool? IF WE SPAWN YOU ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE CORE! ENJOY WALKING BACK!”

Spawns, as I’ve noticed, depend on where the opposing team members are. For instance, I’ve seen players of the enemy team spawn as far back as where the Warden spawn, not just in the cave. This was due to our team being in their initial spawn when they attack, their cave spawn when the defenders are in theie initial spawn and almost at the warden spawn.

However I too have experienced spawning at absurd locations like in the far back of the core base when still defending the first objective. Then again, I’ve also spawned on a cliff edge and plummeted to death insyantly on spawn.

ya and also if so they need to get rid of it because that would mean on Apex the defenders could use their back exit to get into the enemies back spawn to mess up their spawning. and also other ways on other maps they could do this. one unit shouldnt hinder the offense spawning. kinda like Battlefield’s Rush, if the defenders mess around and dont defend and fall back, than they contribute to their team possibly losing, not gaining because they stayed behind enemy lines even though the offense has pushed further up.

They could definitely stand to reduce the travel time between distant spawns and the base being defended by about 30%. Defending the spire and spawning between the armory and home base is stupid when you have 8 enemy spartans charging the spire from half the distance.

i have had spawns so dump i pick fortress to spawn and it spawned me in the main base and yes we had it under control the whole time

I always see people saying that Warzone Assault gives Defenders too much of an advantage. Except, that “advantage,” is lost the second they die for the first time: being a Defender on Dispatch is perhaps the worst gaming experience I’ve ever been forced to participate in.

Yes the spawns on Assault are horrible.

All I play is WA so I feel your pain OP. One thing I’v joked about is the reason 343i made the scouthog  oh yeah and the mongoose big eye roll
But seriously sometimes during the respawn process make sure you select the proper area. Use the thumbstick to cycle where you want to spawn. Dunno if you knew that. But to be honest sometimes even that doesn’t work. So like I said, Ifeel your pain. :’(

I think the reason why we’re spawning too far away occasionally is because the enemy team are nearby all the spawn points in the viscinity so the game randomly picks somewhere not inhabited by another opponent player.

This was hardly a problem in other Halo games.

If your defending you spawn further away than if your attacking.
-343 did this so defending team wont have as much an advantage, added with the 1 nade on spawn rule.

If enemy is in your spawn you’ll spawn further away
-2 well placed oni hogs and youre spawns are gone and you’ve lost the objective.

On your first point: Even on offense I have been spawned as far from the current objective as possible.

ya its weird. both offense and defense i have had games where the spawning is a mile away it feels. but on good average games i spawn at the correct distance. when we start spawning a mile away you can already accept defend because momentum on your side is lost. we were kicking defenders butts, than we get to the last objective and we were spawning all the way back are objective one’s area. So even though we dominated and took out objectives 1 and 2 with skill, not even skill could help us at 3.

And i have tried to use that spawn selection that people said you could but i get nothing. i have tried Dpad and stick and bumpers etc but it doesnt change spawn at all. im fixed at location.
