Warzone Assault is defensive sides?

I just started playing Warzone Assault and I’m loving its pace. However, I have been on offense all 3 games this far and the first time we got no bases. Second we got one and third we got all but the core. Defensively, it feels like the advantage is on their side and its a bit frustrating. Any tips? Or is it really just a hope you’re not on offense kind of mode? It seems like enemies are stacking up on tanks, Wraiths, Ghosts and Banshees at the same time so we have no chance to take it.

There was an advantage for defense at first but they did some spawn changes to balance.

Really the trick is to play smart, I’ve noticed it’s the undisciplined players who charge in and lose us the game. Strategize and you’ll be fine.

Ah okay, I do seem to be on top of the team as I do attempt to play smart. Many teammates do just run in on a suicide run which doesn’t really help, lol. I’ll keep at it, its more fun than basic Warzone which I find to be too long and slow paced.

Just kamikaze their base with several other teammates.

In my experience it’s the lack of coordinated offensive pushes that gives the advantage to the defense…

Definitely, which is a major issue as I’m more likely to play with randoms so offense is a disadvantage. The only players that I hear are those with Kinect activated and their kids are crying. Instant mute!

I have had better luck lately but generally I’m on offense. I’d like to defend a bit more, especially on Array. This is the only map that I feel puts offense at a HUGE disadvantage. Not sure if I’m just unlucky but the second base is almost impossible due to the scope of it.

it is on their side because you got 12 people in the same area with all level 50’s.

This, for sure.
One well coordinated push will cause the defense to crumble, and even if you don’t catch it in that single push, you will most likely be in the process of breaking the opposition down. By design, it’s supposed to be an uphill struggle. That is why when you work together and gain control, the capture process is quite quick.

Array, and the Stormbreak variant, are real toughies to assault. Array, because it literally is an uphill battle. The defenders having the higher ground gives them a distinct advantage. The Stormbreak one because it’s quite a large space, so clearing out all the defenders to begin the capture process can be tough.

I find the second base for all the maps to be quite a struggle to defend, rather than attack.

Save all your Fuel Rod Cannon reqs for Warzone Assault, they demolish the core. The best fuel rod tho is the Light of Urs which will destroy a core after 2 full clips being launched into it, as seen here

Meh, I prefer Spartan Laser-ing the -Yoink- out of it in two to three shots…
