So this is a new one for me.
Ever played warzone assault, on attacking team. Defenders do not defend current objectives and instead the whole team sprints to home base leaving both bases wide open for capping?
This turns out to be a very effective strategy as home base is the easiest to defend and when this strategy is used the entire team begins the assault of home base at level 1 ReQs. Hard to blow up core with pistols lol.
I have mixed feelings when when I saw this. The game isn’t being played as intended, but it’s a darn good defence strategy. We lost to it.
What at do you think? Should the defending teams be forced to play the objective in the intended order? 343 eliminated the ability for attackers to cheat the order, should defending team receive the same treatment?
There is a risk of this being exposed and warzone assault being played like this at all times. That would be a total bummer.
This is actually a really good strategy. I hadn’t thought of this before. Although there are not too many full teams to take advantage of this. I feel like it is a fair strategy, as grenades can do a fair amount of damage to the core. It should only take 15-20 frags to do it, not to mention AR’s with Kinetic bolts, which only require REQ level 2. My biggest issue with warzone assault is spamming scout warthogs in the fortress (I do it too, but I still think it is cheap)
Ya. That’s my problem too. It’s cheap.
But it I would do it in a heart beat because it’s effective lol. Just as long as it doesn’t become routine.

Why would people spam scout warthogs? They have no offensive capability… I don’t get why they’d be useful?

It sends in a distraction for the defending team to focus on
Well we basically used this strategy unintentionally. We got owned so fast at each base neither team had BRs yet and when they got to our core we were able to get completely owned there too and we lost… Bet you thought that ending was going somewhere else didn’t ya?

No but the fortress is the only base where the vehicle actually spawn inside. Whenever a scout is spawn, it prevents the attackers to cap the fortress. You can always shoot the driver but the scout hog provide great protection to him or you can hijack it to the risk of being splattered.
It’s a strategy used to often when the defending team start to stress out when all odd are in favor of the attacking team
Well this is a troubling problem, though I doubt it will be too common. I suppose if it catches on they can install a soft kill barrier around the current objective within a reasonable distance to let combat play out.
