I’m personally hoping to see Warzone return in Infinite but its gotta be tweaked so that it works without the REQ system.
On that note: please don’t bring back REQs.
Refine the Halo 5 maps a little should they return, remove REQ packs & give everybody access to all requisitions and I’ll be happy to see the mode return.

Agree.
New maps would also be pretty cool.
I’m thinking have it play similar to star wars battlefront 2 in terms of equiping weapons and vehicles.
Warzone is a great idea for a game mode and I think 343 did a pretty good job implementing it. Personally, though, I didn’t really enjoy it all that much. I would rather see a return to a more classic Firefight. If I want PvP I’ll play arena, if I want PvE I certainly won’t be playing H5 campaign. The mashup of PvPvE didn’t do it for me.
I do have fun in Warzone Firefight but I have not really played normal Warzone all that much. The warzone maps are pretty cool and I do hope we get more variety of them in Infinite. 343 has already stated that there will be no random loot boxes so req packs are most likely out. Req cards might still be in the game but how they are implemented will probably be unknown until a proper multiplayer reveal. If reqs are in the game I hope its just an option to direct purchase however many you want with an in-game earnable currency.
I personally would love to see it return but it would definitely need some changes. Everyone should have access to all the reqs and you shouldn’t need to collect one time use req cards which puts you at a disadvantage if someone had something you didn’t.
Another thing is the way the level-up system works. It makes it so that if one team is better than the other they get rewarded with more overpowered weapons and they are able to just farm the other team with high level reqs that the other4 team can’t get.
> The mashup of PvPvE didn’t do it for me.
I agree with this ^^. You can either focus on fighting other players and having more fun but receiving less points or going for the bosses, having less fun but securing the win. Basically my ideal game mode is BTB Super Fiesta except played on warzone maps and you choose your weapons lol.
I’m unconvinced by a return of Warzone. For Firefight I’d far rather iterations of the original modes return and develop.
For Warzone: I’d rather iteration of BTB. Warzone was a vehicle to deliver reqs as an MTX. Sure the PvPvE element had some merit
I think given COD’s Warzone’s popularity, they’ll name the game mode something different. Plenty of rumours of a BTB 2.0 with vehicular combat so fingers crossed

Yea I was also curious about that. It seems like an easy way to get overshadowed in search results and just in general frankly. I think BTB 2.0 would be a good replacement but I hope they don’t cut anything or give up too quickly just because the first attempt wasn’t perfect (while WZ was far from perfect but I still love the idea!)
343 already said lootboxes wont return and that was my biggest gripe in H5WZ so I am cautiously optimistic regardless.
REQs im pretty sure are confirmed not to come back thankfully, really hated those but warzone making a comeback wouldnt be too bad as long as its not a replacement for firefight
If there is a way to keep Warzone but remove the REQ aspect of the game, I feel as though that would be a great addition to multiplayer.

Personally I have no interest in adding big multiplayer modes. Make a decent campaign, please, and multiplayer on par with halo games before 4, and I’ll be happy.
The only problem I had with warzone was the fire fight. It can be fun but I don’t like how you get 5 minutes in the final round to spawn a tank next to the boss and get instant destroyed or you’re on the last boss with like 1% health and theirs no over time or nothing! But original warzone… without req’s we will have to see how that works. Maybe now you can buy what you want with you’re halo reach credits??
IMO Warzone was a weak gamemode. As soon as Achilles was relesed the gamemode turned into a farm fest and 343 had to step in and stop team-stacking because their moneymaker wasn’t very fun anymore lol.
Warzone (IMO) doesn’t offer much variety. The games all progress the same, many of the places where a majority of the combat took place are the same because they were copy pasted between maps. Problems with the REQ system aside, it just didn’t provide the same kind of fun that BTB in previous games has. Being able to spawn your own vehicles meant that the teams don’t really coordinate around team-based vehicles, sometimes people will flat out ignore your warthog honks because they spawned with a gun they really wanna use.
What I’m hoping for in Halo Infinite is a BTB mode with Developer made maps as opposed to forge maps with scripting elements that change how the map can be played, be they permanent or temporary changes like a door opening, a gravity lift being activated, or a wall being blown open. There’s a lot of possibilities there and I know 343 can produce some really stand-out stuff when they don’t pigeon-hole themselves into following trends.
Take this with a big grain of salt but there was a recent leak that said Warzone wasn’t coming back and the resources for it were now being reallocated to the BTB 2.0 mode. Also said the new mode would be objective based, heavily focus on vehicle combat including pelican drops, and include squad spawning.
Warzone was an OK gametype but it got old really fast. Since the requisition system isn’t returning, along with word going around about a Big Team 2.0, it looks like they might be phasing out Warzone entirely. I’m honestly mixed about it, I wouldn’t mind it returning but I definitely wouldn’t miss it if it’s gone.
Seeing people mention this BTB2.0 mode.
I’d heard of that and would totally be okay with that instead of warzone. As much as I enjoy warzone I have found myself hopping on MCC a lot more lately to play some BTB and invasion

They could implement a system all the REQ items become available to players once the team has reached that specific level in the match.
No longer based on how many card you have collected of that item, you would have an unlimited number number of uses, but only once your team had progressed and unlocked that Tear of items.

Yeah, something like this sounds awesome!
