Warzone 2.0 > battle royale

Battle royales are boring. how about invest the time into making a fun game mode like warzone 2.0? it was very popular back in halo 5.
probably the best gamemode you guys have ever made and it sucks that there is no 2.0 version. the replay value was extremely high.
indeed it had problems but they could most certinaly be addressed thanks to hindsight.
halo infinite would definitly standout from all other frnachise if it brought back H5 WARZONE.

warzone firefight would be cool in infinite, rather see that than BR.

If 343 introduce a true-to-form uninspired Battle Royal, I ain’t mad. I won’t play it, but I ain’t mad that it’s there.

If 343 find some creative way to meld the Battle Royal model into some new form of Warzone/Firefight, than I’m intrigued.

I’d rather see ODST style firefight and a ranked team slayer playlist instead of Infinite BR. I didn’t like warzone much. I’m very concern about a Halo BR. Mainly with weapons. It will have to have its own separate weapons for it or they’ll impact all the other playlists & campaign. Not to mention, doing this means your working on content that can only be utilized in one mode, instead of the entire game.

I’ve said it before, I’m fine with a halo battle royale, But there’s so many other things that should be done before it gets put in and I just think it should be its own separate game.

As long as Warzone 2.0 does not include pay-to-win/lootbox mechanics :+1:
Everyone should have access to the same weapons/equipment. There should not be unfair advantages like Warzone 1.0 had.

TBH Ill take Warzone 2.0 and battle royale. + at least 5 more playlists and 13 more game modes.

So warzone seemed more fun than it ended up being. I expected the AI to be implemented like in Titanfall where it was fluid and actually felt like you were in a big battle.

The Req system was terrible and should never be brought back either. It was a terrible way to distribute weapons and vehicles.

Warzone just felt cheap and clunky in comparison. BR’s give an adrenaline rush like no other game mode (especially ones like PUBG that have no respawn mechanics). The possibility of playing for 30+ minutes and still losing is just so much more exciting than H5 Warzone ever was for me.

Personally i would love a BR in Halo and it already has all the mechanics for one and it just needs a big enough map.

All this said H5 Warzone has its if fans and if there are enough maybe after we get co op, forge, more game modes and maps, BR, and firefight they could add it as i think all the things i just listed are vastly more popular than warzone.

I preferred a Warzone 2.0 far more than a Battle Royale from the get-go. I did enjoy it for the longest times in the initial months but I think the REQ System had some detrimental effects that got more apparent later on and what made it unfun for me to play.

But overall I thought it was a rather admirable attempt at PvPvE that made a lot of use out of the sandbox with Halo. Definitely needed some tweaks here and there but I feel like there was a lot more potential that could’ve been tapped by exploring Warzone more rather than having yet another Battle Royale in a crowd of other BRs, with me in particular feeling like Halo’s gameplay would be ill-suited to make for an exciting BR compared to those others that have built and refined their BR experiences from the ground up when the market was still fresh.

We gotta let them fix the game first

I liked Warzone, because it was Bigger Team Battle, with more weapons and vehicles than ever before, including Firefight objectives. All of the weapons and vehicles were extremely cool imo. How could I not like it? I never really understood why people would pay to win loot box cards for Warzone, didn’t seem worth it. I was very satisfied just earning everything overtime.

Infinite could make Warzone 2.0, but have everything unlocked by doing milestones, achievements, and a progression system. I guess they could let people buy stuff, but you know what, if you feel like wasting your money on one time use weapons and vehicles, that’s your own money you’re wasting.

Unlocking stuff via RNG was the only part I didn’t like

Of course, but it needs to have the “Battle Royale” wrapping on it still. It’ll do wonders for PR if they call it one, regardless of how it’s played.

This game does need a large Scale PVE esk type of mode maybe something with cutscenes and missions revving around our Spartan. That way we get something out of the cosmetics. Reach did it right by making the story around our Spartan or our version of what we wanted noble six to look like.

warzone… FF… spec ops… any of those PVE modes i would take over an BR

It wouldnt surprise me if 343 add in BR they will remove something else, maybe team slayer. The only team slayer will be ranked arena.
That will kill the game completely.
I wouldnt be surpriesed if they do this.
343 want to force us in to certain game modes because their engine/UI can only handle like 6-7 game modes.
Halo is not what you want to play any more, its what 343 allows you to play.

Warzone is cool for Warzone Firefight but the Warzone model is dead

Everybody HATED loot boxes. Did you forget the backlash against them already?

Maybe if they would actually create a Halo game instead of trying to follow what other companies are doing that doesn’t work for what this is supposed to be. We might actually have a fun game.

Halo is supposed to be an original game that separates itself from all the others. When will 343 wake the hell up???

As much as I liked Warzone, the problem is that it was based around the REQ system. Now that REQs are gone, thank God, they’d have to come up with a new system to allow players to call in vehicles and weapons.

The best way I can think of how to bring it back is to use a point system, kinda like Star Wars Battlefront II, that way you still work up toward the powerful endgame items yet can’t spam them like you could in H5, unless you’re performing good.

BR is dying anyway, the gaming world is long overdue for the next big thing to come along, and if they play there cards right it could conceivably be warzone. It’s not likely though.

Warzone is the reason why i kept playing H5. Lot of people played Warzone, always found a match. Its disappointing that there is no Warzone in infinite.
Still waiting for the roadmap that was announced few month ago.

that;s how the REQ system worked… you earn points to get better weapons and vehicles and once you use it, it costs a number of points that you have to earn back. have you not played warzone before?

He probably meant the card pack aspect of it, not having infinite quantity of req items and the loot box mechanics to earn more of them. One of the worst mechanics ever added to Halo for sure. But if everyone had access to the same weapons and it just cost points in a match thats fine. Maybe even have some unlocked by playing the game mode more but the loot box situation was atrocious.
