Does anyone else agree with this? I love driving around in a Warthog, in all Halo games, but Halo 4’s 'Hog doesn’t seem to last nearly as long on the battlefield. I think this is partly due to the ability to spawn with plasma grenades and pistols, but I think a simple boost to the amount of damage a Warthog can take would balance everything out a bit. Or alternatively, make the Warthog turret more powerful, and although it still wouldn’t last long, it would at least get a few more kills. I think a Warthog should make a team combine their efforts to destroy it, rather than having them be destroyed quickly by a single player. Still, I think all the other vehicles are well balanced (although I’m still missing the hilarity of the Falcon!).
But still, at least it doesn’t flip whenever it hits a pebble anymore…
Bullet damage needs to be removed. Either that, or lightened. I know the Gauss Hog can ruin a blind guy’s day, but there’s no need to shoot it to the point of exploding.
Either that, or just attach fusion coils to the damn thing.

I’d love to see that; a suicide Hog charging at the enemy base with fusion coils all over it!
The problem with the current vehicle damage model is you can drive and gun well, but rack up alot of random small hits, then get tagged by 1 lucky sticky 'nade (with all the aim-assisted bullet magnatism) and its game over.
I’d prefer vehicle actually had a week point, so random bullet’s didn’t do much but if you target soft-spots then you could knock one out (with enough fire).
The Gauss-hog is proof that with the right armament the warthog is not necessarily weak, but the AA warthog needs its turret buffed.
Even if they upgrade the strength… whats to stop people from gang raping you with Plasma pistol/nades… So it takes two plasma nades after an emp… even after upgrading two 3-4… that just invites people gang up on you. Now I got an Idea for H5, make a hard top bullet resistent Hog. Totallay encased, that way the way to get people is by headshots, or by other rides.
does operator make a difference?
I also think having a weak point would be a good idea, but maybe there should be a quicker recovery after being bolted?

From what I’ve heard, the Warthog heals faster over time and there’s less chance of being plasma’d, but I’m not at that level yet. I’ll be sure to get it once I can.
Yes and no, on smaller ones you will notice an increase in how fast the emp wears off… bullet damage, varies.

^^ This I have not notice, even while using the Ghost/Mantis/Goose/Hog… Now what I have notice, when you are in the clear your shields heal faster while in any of these but the Mantis.
The option to spawn with PP and plasma nades had been the bane of my hogging with my friend, which is a shame as that was our favorite thing in H3 to do. I don’t think this is a gigantic problem, though. I like that warthogs can’t just run amok like they used to on Standoff or Valhalla when your team got laser control.
I would like them to do a little more damage, but my biggest problem with hogs atm is the free gauss one blue team gets on Exile in BTB, which can easily put down anyone before they can get close with their PP/plasma nades they spawned with. I’m not too fond of the scorpion on there either, but at least it’s easier to stick at a distance and a bigger/slower target for team fire like the mantis is.
As far as regular hogs go, I’d say maybe a slight buff in damage since it won’t be staying up for long, and in that realm maybe a slight decrease in respawn time.
I feel as if the vehicles are useless.
Warthog needs to be faster and needs more health.
