I miss the rambunctiousness of not having one lol. Anyone else?
I’m gonna have to agree on this one. Scrap the cool down and let there be carnage
Overheating turrets with cooldown are just annoying, let there be battles instead
Keep in mind that this is simply my opinion, but I feel like the warthog needs a cooldown just for balancing purposes. I feel like it’s already plenty powerful with the cooldown if used efficiently.

Then make the projectile damage less powerful maybe?
The combination of the slow start and cool downs annoys me too. I won’t say it makes the warthog bad, but yeah, just annoying.
Oh Lord, please don’t have one
I never did like cool downs in Halo. My solution for trigger holders is to make the gun more inaccurate the longer it is fired; not enough to where it won’t hit anything, but enough to make shots miss so the TTK goes up and you’re not as effective at range with it.
Everyone wants a turret without cooldown until a Warthog is circling your base on Standoff for an entire match and your team gets a 40 point loss.
i prefer low damage/low precision and no cooldown than high damage/precision and cooldown

I’m not sure which I prefer, I think the former is more balanced but it always leads to me ignoring the 'Hog when I can’t hit people at distance.

H3 has no cooldown and its pretty balanced. Theres no need for further balancing.
Agreed no cooldown and less damage was always great in Halo 3 go around and finish off enemies and chop up enemy vehicles
Yeah I’m with you, even it it is just a variant of the hog with a classic turret.

So the solution is turret cooldown? Do me a favour. All you’ve demonstrated is that standoff is a fundamentally flawed map.
i do miss this. It made sense for it to be in reach, (with it being a prequel and all) but continuing it in 4 and 5 was always kind of weird to me.

That’s true. Maybe instead of cooldown it can been less accurate like some people have been saying, like the warthog from earlier games.
Growing up through all the Halo Games I do miss how Halo went from Vehicle Warfare to very anti vehicle. Like Halo 4 Spawning in game with Plasma Pistol as secondary and plasma grenades. Sure it sucked having no cool down on turrets if being used by the enemy team but I do miss all fun from having my friend in the gunner for the entire match racking up kills in a turret with no cool down. Basically had to keep the controllers plugged in because the turret never stopped. I miss the Road Rage Medal.

I was getting ready to say this. I noticed it, too.
