So, i noticed on ready up lives video of all the customization etc that there was a warthog called the Warthog Scout, now from the picture… it looked like the transport hog and like all the other vehicles there were 3 variety’s, the standard and then 2 others
Are you all glad its finally in the game if it is infact the transport hog and if so what do you think the other 2 varients will be?!
I personally think the first one will be extra armour.
and the second to be possibly extra troop carrying space? so instead of possibly 4 spaces (including driver) itll be 6? so 2 in the front and 4 in the back… if anyone would like proof i can try and find it.
Like i said, im just going by what i saw and it did look like it, if not then i am sorry but im interested in knowing what it is!
Lol I could go along with the idea of some hog that carries a couple of detailed ammo crates for “basic ammo supply.” Now I want to know… if the gave a transport hog why not a transport falcon? Or even better a pelican…
Okay i meant this for a serious thread… but if it turns into optimus… im all for it! xD
Seriously though, an ammo transport would be a pretty cool idea! if you could go up to it, hold down X and it gives you more ammo and its got a limit of 10 uses, so 10 people can go up to it and use it and then it runs out and its just a hog… that would be such a good idea

> It could even come with some plasma crates for some covenant weapons. But they can explode so watch out.
Yes! Why arent we all idea experts for 343??? a transport hog that turns into optimus and can carry supply crates with 10 uss but has plasma ones which if you shoot blow up… this needs to happen xD
The variants dont seam too diffrent from the original so dont expect things to be to crazy. Though it does look like some guns have perks attached to them like I saw a sniper that doesnt descope

If you ask me, the concept of a “Ammo restock” Warthog’s a bit… Dicey. Not that it’s a bad concept, but because I feel 12v12 (Or whatever the hell Warzone will be) is too small of a team number to justify a Warthog built specifically for ammo. The smallest game I’ve seen prior with this concept was Battlefield, and that’s a pretty big per-match player limit, last I checked.

That is true, youd need huge maps and around 64 players a match at least for it to be effective… just like battlefield…
Anyway back on subject, what does everyone think the other 2 varients will be of the scout hog?
People are expecting the Scout Warthog to be the Transport Warthog, which would be cool, however, looking at the image provided, the Scout Warthog is obviously missing the “cage” that the Transport Warthog had in Halo 3. With that being said, I don’t think that the Scout Warthog is actually the Transport Warthog that you are all looking for, and is merely a Warthog without a Turret, like the Halo Wars Warthog without upgrades, or the Halo 2 Anniversary Civilian Warthog (Golden Warthog).

Ah i havent seen that picture! nice find! i was just going by a video i happened to see it and it looked like it had the cage but yeah it looks like the pimped one on H2A except with nothing in the back and is ONI colours, very interesting though… shame, i was hoping for the transport but still interesting!
So i wonder what the upgraded versions will be? one will be extra armour like the other hogs, but maybe increased speed on the other upgrade?
I think that the scout hog will just be a faster and cheaper warthog version, so say you can spend less req to get it and it moves faster than the other hogs
we can hope for the troop hog to be in game though

All UNSC vehicles seem to come in 4 variants - Normal, Corps, Urban, and ONI; and Covenant vehicles in 3 variants - Normal, Sword, and Ultra. Promethean vehicles do not seem to have any variations (as of the most recently seen build).
The Corps Gauss Warthog comes with extra armour, but then, so does the Urban Mantis variant, and Sword Ghost. What I can conclude from this is that all variants share the same upgrade, but just differ in terms of the paint job, which would be disappointing, or, the upgrade that a variant provides changes from vehicle to vehicle, which is unfortunately looking to be increasingly untrue, but we shall see.
With the latter in mind, though, possible upgrades could include - extra damage, extra armour (confirmed), extra speed, and not appearing on motion sensors.

Yeah thats my thoughts, i think the two most likely are the extra armour and speed… but thatll be a great vehicle to have in Forge aswell! ive wanted to put them down but in H2A its gold so not very fitting for most maps but either way im glad they have this hog now… and the urban versions of the vehicles look amazing with the camo!
