Warthog Plasma Deflection Idea.

I know it’s probably not possible in Halo 4(It might be but I doubt it, unless a whole new dlc specific hog was built).

So here is my idea…

The Warthog plasma shield.

What this would do is give the driver of a hog the ability to hit a button and momentarily deflect stickies and plasma pistols shots by shielding the vehicle. It would kind of work like counter measures in gunships. It would only last for a couple seconds so it could only be used at last seconds notice of an oncoming sticky or EMP shot. After used it would have a 30 second recharge. This could be really useful in Halo 4 BTB and make driving a hog fun once again.

So what do you think? Yes? No?

i’d normally say no to this
but seeing as driving/gunning in a warthog will get you fewer kills than AFKing, i guess this is a pretty good idea

Only so long as the shielding is balanced in some way that the gunner cannot fire while the shield is up.

I mean, if its just about survivability, you should be invulnerable to your most potent weakness and able to kill at the same time.

the warthog, just the warthog, needs a 100% buff. 2 plasmas to EMP, 4 stickies to blow. that way you need at least TWO people to take one out.

scorpion needs a 50% buff as well, or at least an increase in turn speed. i’ll take a wraith any day.

You have obviously never played enough CTF in the older systems to know that if you are alone once the Flag gets in the warthog that your only chance is to be able to EMP it once and slow it down enough for your team to get back even if you die.

Increasing the EMP ammount is never ok.

i can concede that for CTF, but not for BTB. nobody uses the hogs. they just sit.

OR, Or, or, we could just get rid of the custom loadouts for IBTS, and get rid of ordnance and call it BTB. You know, the way everyone used to like it?
