what do you think the Warthog’s in halo 4 should play like the ones in REACH or HALO 3’s …
The 1’s in reach bounce around and flip with easy and a DMR can take one out fast as in halo 3 the Warthog’s were better didn’t flip over on every bump and they could be use to hold map control and suppress a team and help with team push’s.

I’d prefer something like the Halo 1 'hog. But if I had to pick between 3 and Reach, I think I’d take the Reach one; it’s a lot more interesting to drive. That said, it should be heavier and not flip over every time someone hits a wheel with a DMR shot.

I despise the Halo CE variant, its so difficult to control and extremely unresponsive.

Something that’s fast, heavy, and doesn’t get destroyed by DMRs and SRs. I really hate when I hit a jump and start flipping because someone shot me. The warthog should also be a lot faster not that it isn’t fast I just feel it would be more fun if it were faster. Also it should destroy infantry that’s what its there for right?
It would be perfect if they combined the handling/physics of the halo reach warthog and the health/weight of the halo 3 warthog with a similar chain gun for the halo 4 warthog.

I’d like to think the majority of players enjoy the driving mechanics behind the Halo:Reach Warthog. It’s by far the best version to drive around in (maybe a bit to floaty though?)
But as far as the “health” of the Warthog is concerned there are issues to say the least. Since the games release I was blown away at how easily the Halo:Reach Warthog could be shredded apart. Its so obvious I would have thought they’d patch it by now…guess not :’-( I mean occasionally you can do damage and get some wheelmans against opposing teams; but those moments are far and few between (It’s as if the hog is made of paper mâché.)
I understand theres a need to make it balanced and not invincible, so perhaps you could have a pinpoint section of the hog (gas tank maybe?) that the opposing team should focus their aim on. If you want to blow it up shoot the gas tank, if you want to make it roll shoot the tires.
By the way Some feedback would be appreciated and thanks OP for the good post!

The CE hog is the ultimate splatter machine, has great traction (almost as great as the H2 hog), has bumpiness (meaning you don’t drive into a wall and get stuck unless you back up), it’s fast, and you can get in the turret seat from the driver’s seat by driving straight on even terrain and getting out.
Oh and the Pelican pilots actually considered the player before dropping the hog. Only exception was on AotCR, but that was because the player wasn’t expected to bridge jump…
The reason the Halo CE hog was a Splatter machine was because a small tap on the shoulder counted as a Splatter.
I say a mix between the Halo Reach, and CE one. (With Reach Splatter) I think that if you drive wild, then it should loose grip and fishtail. However, I think it should feel a little lighter than the one in CE. You can definitely feel the weight compared to modern Warthogs which is really cool.
