The Warthog, Ghost, and Banshee are too easily destroyed. They need to be given more health.
The Warthog, for example, is usually destroyed very quickly, due mostly to the fact that a lot of players have 2 Plasma Grenades and a Plasma Pistol, which is all they need to destroy a Warthog. This has made going into the Warthog a death sentence.
The Banshee, suffers from a similar problem the Reach Banshee had: weak armor. Even infantry-fire can heavily damage or destroy a Banshee pretty quickly. At least with the Reach Banshee it had a powerful fuel rod bomb and had an amazing evade, the Halo 4 Banshee has had both of these nerfed, which makes it even more vulnerable to infantry-fire. People spawning with Plasma Pistols only makes the problem worse.
The Ghost, like the other vehicles, has weak armor. Every time in Matchmaking I see a Ghost that is a little bit damaged, I usually just shoot it with my rifle and it ends up dying. And of course, Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistols only worsen this issue.
Here’s a few things I think 343i could do to fix these problems:
- Give the Banshee, Ghost, and Warthog stronger armor.
- Like the Pulse grenade, limit Plasmas to 1 grenade per spawn.
- Though the Plasma Pistol has already been nerfed, even in its current state, it’s a significant danger to all vehicles. It may need another nerf, though not enough to make the weapon useless (maybe they could also buff the individual shots).
- Buff the offensive capabilities of the Warthog, Ghost, and Banshee.
Keep in mind, I simply want these vehicles to be balanced, not over-powered. I’m not asking for Warthogs, Ghosts, and Banshees that’ll give us Unfrigginbelievables, just make it so that we wont get killed 20 seconds after we get in them almost every time.
What do you guys think of my suggestions?

While i do agree that the Warthog not Gauss but machine turret warthog needs a buff of damage, just for the sheer fact i would rather get more kills on ground then jump in that pea shooter of a turret on the warthog. The gauss version is just amazing in my opinion
The banshee on the other hand idk, in Reach i felt it way overpowered from where i could get 20 plus kills most of the time in it, it may need a minor tweak but after some getting used to it i think it fairs decently.
I do think on plasma pistols they need to add diminishing returns, idk how hard it would be to implement but make it so one shot disables it but the vehicle then becomes more resistant to the overcharged plasma’s shots. That would make it so you don’t have the annoying teams of all plasma pistols just making the vehicle a paperweight.

I wasn’t talking about the Guass version or Rocket version. The Guass version actually seems pretty balanced (for a Guass Hog, at least). I haven’t used the Rocket Hog enough to know if its balanced or not.

ya, i just really think diminishing returns would be good for plasma pistols for a weapon that makes a vehicle inert in a game where you have people with stickies.When you have vehicles that are weaker then previous versions it would just make sense seeing how their armor is worst.
Only thing that needs a buff is the turret hog’s damage, but only just a little. The banshee is fine. I usually get about 10 kills before getting taken out. You just need to know how to fly it and aim the fuelrod.
All vehicles that aren’t tanks or the Mantis are way too underpowered. It only takes a single clip from the DMR to destroy the Ghost. A single clip!
Now imagine this in Big Teams, where you have multiple people shoot at you while you’re in the Ghost. You’ll be gone in a matter of seconds.
The Banshee is fine for me, except when the Mantis is running about. They should at least make it so the Banshee as a fighting chance.

Indeed, I did. It could have depended on where I was shooting, but if it doesn’t take a full clip to destroy it, then the Ghost is probably about to explode anyway.

I for one think that banshee is perfect, as far as chain hog goes. it just needs stronger chain gun. that thing is weak sauce.the armor would be ok as it is, if they just buffed the gun some

Dang, that’s unbelievable. Ghost needs to be buffed too.
