To anyone playing or about to play the Halo 4 campaign on Legendary, this is a warning about the Halo 4 Legendary Ending.
As a Microsoft spokesman once said “You are the Master Chief”, the whole story of Halo is that you are the Master Cheif , the player.
The Halo 4 Legendary ending completely ruins the whole concept of Halo and thet the player is the Master Cheif.
This is a warning that if you are a veteran Halo player, care about the story of Halo, and like it too the core, too not watch the Halo 4 Legendary ending. I will tell you what happens but it more of a visual thing that will piss of many veteran Halo players alike, as I am. The ending just waters down the story and experience of Halo. Im not saying that Halo 4 is a bad game, its great actually. This is just one of the few things 343 screwed up on and that they never should of thought have doing, like its just stupid, really, why they would even think of doing this. Reading the spoiler shouldnt ruin anything though, as I said its more of a visual and you will understand if you read the spoiler.
Halo 4 Legendary Ending
The legendary ending, You see marines looking at the remains of New Phionex, as you can also hear a forunner talking about humanity in the background. It skips to a part in the UNSC Infinity and you can see the Master Chief walking around on the deck, and he walks towards a device that takes of Spartan armour. He goes into it, and the device starts to take off his armour. The camera zooms a close up into his face, as the helmet is being taken off the Master Cheif. As the helmet comes off, usually the game will cut out as it has in previous Halo’s so that you do not see his face, but it does not in this case, and you see a small amount of his face including his eyes and nose.
My opinion? 343i butchered the Chief’s character. Things like the Chief talking while you’re playing as him and the “first-person cuttscenes” attribute to this.
In addition, I dislike the way Cortana is portrayed.
Yes but in the book, the Fall of Reach, is the only time it explains what he looks like, and that is when he is 6. Ive read almsot all of the books. Halo 4 is prety predictable too if you read them.
Whatever that spokesman may have said was a lie. Masterchief has a distinct history that starts from his kidnapping as a child, the indoctrination into the spartan project.
In Halo 2, I was more open to Arbiter while in Halo 3, I felt like I was Chief when viewing the gameplay in Theater.
In Halo 4, I don’t really feel like I’m Chief (while there is noticeable improvement from Reach i.e. meleeing big crates some distance without Cowbell, there’s still some disappointing things like the jump height, crouch jump, and reduced traction) but the Legendary ending did not perturb me one bit.
I thought that was only Noble 6? MC has always been MC and 343i Said multiple times “We are exploring the Human side of the MC”
The legendary Ending made me -Yoink- my pants i never expected it… I liked it.

And the comics that have also shown what he looked like, as well as the Halo 3 Starry Night trailer…the mystery of what he looks like has been kinda gone for awhile now.
He says it in the Halo Legends special features. He was like the owner of Microsoft Game studios or something like that. All I remember is that he was like someone big from Microsoft.
If anyone actually believes they are the Chief well lol you should get out more, he’s always been his own character it was just not so in your face in Bungie’s Halos.
To think 343 are ruining Halo by finally giving Chief more of his character is ridiculous, like the dumbest thing anyone could complain about in this game, shows that the whiners really are scraping the bottom of the barrel for things to whine about.
