REDEEM YOUR XP MATCHES: To redeem your XP Matches follow the onscreen instructions in the Dashboard to select a Code to apply the XP Matches associated with that Code to a specific Gamer ID/Gamer tag. In order to assign and use XP Matches to a Gamer ID/Gamer tag the Gamer ID/Gamer tag account holder must purchase the Halo 4 game and log into Xbox LIVE gold War Games mode prior to “pushing” their XP Matches to that Gamer ID/Gamer tag.
I did not read this before I applied my 200 matches to my gamertag and I called 1-888-889-5329 (Dewxp halo 4 hotline)
And they told me that they cannot guarantee I’ll have those 200 matches on my gamertag when I play halo 4 since I’ve already applied.
SO WATCH OUT, DO NOT APPLY YOUR MATCHES BEFORE YOU PLAY HALO 4.
i reread the rules, i am pretty sure that isn’t true. it says you can apply them whenever and that the double xp games will be pushed when you play halo 4 on Xbox Live
At least I’ve only been able to upload two twelve packs, looks like I’ll keep the rest of my codes when/if I find more until after the game comes out just to be safe.

Well, I really hope that’s true.
But unfortunately, the representative on the phone from Dewxp told me that’s what the rule says and since you haven’t played Halo 4 you dont show up on the leaderboards therefore the xp matches you applied will likely be lost.
here are 3 significant rules about this and it doesn’t say anything about what you’re talking about:
How do I enter my Codes?
To enter your Code online, log on to the Website and follow instructions on screen to enter the Code exactly as it appears and click “submit”. Each time you enter a valid Code into your Account during the Promotion Period you will receive the amount of Double XP matches associated with each Code and participating codes will automatically be credited with one (1) Prize Entry good for one (1) entry into one (1) sweepstakes drawing of your choice. Codes can be entered on the Website until 1/31/13 and pushed to Xbox LIVE accounts until 3/31/13; at that time, the Double XP matches will be transferred automatically to the Xbox LIVE Account that was last used on by the Participant. If no Xbox LIVE Account has been provided during the Promotional Period, all remaining Double XP matches will be forfeited.
How do I transfer Double XP Matches to my Xbox?
Do I “activate” when I load up?
You can transfer your Double XP matches to Xbox LIVE Gold Accounts for Xbox 360. Once you have banked your Double XP matches via the website, you will have to log into your Xbox LIVE account on the microsite. Then go into the microsite to “push” Double XP Matches to an Xbox LIVE Account. Lastly, log into your Xbox LIVE account and go into multiplayer, your Double XP Matches will begin for the amount pushed to your Xbox LIVE Gold Account. HALO® 4 and Xbox LIVE GOLD REQUIRED (sold separately).
What if I have Double XP ready, but don’t want to use it? When does the clock start, is it only during game play?
You can bank your Double XP matches on the website. It is up to the Participant of when they want to push/apply their Double XP to their Xbox LIVE Gold account.

You jumped to conclusions. I thought the same thing, but then realized this:
you now have double xp, go play
the only way you loose your double xp is if you already clicked push/gift. And if you did that, it’s pretty much your fault for not realizing “Hmm, maybe they can’t give me double xp right now for a game I have never played or even owned”

Because it’s only logical to apply 200 matches to your gamertag and then have the 200 matches to be stored on microsoft’s server where it’s associated with your gamertag. When you then play Halo 4 for the first time you would already have 200 double xp matches ready to go. There’s no reason to let 200 codes sit on dewxp.com, play halo 4, go back to dewxp, and then apply 200 double xp matches.
How is that logical in anyway?
I believe that if some error does occur where they are not there at launch one we log on, it will be fixed, i mean this is good until January so there’s plenty of time to fix it
I don’t know what everyone is saying but I was gifted 30 matches and I got 3 from buy some dew. I applied 30 match and it says I have 30 matches next to my gamertag so what’s the problem? I didn’t loose any. However I think when the game comes my first 30 matches will be 2x XP not a big deal, no harm done.

Because there’s no reason to jump the gun and ignore the directions.
