So after discussions with EB about site date changes and in store people saying otherwise I have had confirmation that Australia will not be getting the CE on the 20th like everyone else. The console will still release then with it’s digital code but those that pre-ordered the $350 CE will not get it until launch day and will therefore not be able to pre-load. This all means not only will we NOT be ready to go at midnight launch time but we will need to sit through the 6-10 hour download time.
I felt the need to give other Australians out there this heads up so you too don’t end up getting shafted. Downgrading or buying a physical copy at launch may end up being our only option to not have to wait unless you want to pay another $99.95 to get a digital version from the xbox store while waiting for the CE items.
Personally I will now not get to play the game at all at launch, I have a week trip as of the morning of the 28th and rostered off the 27th too to get a ful lday of Halo before I left. but with no pre-load I will see half of that day at least not playing.
