Warlord Achievement

I’m trying to unlock the warlord achievement for 8 months. I’ve won over 80 war zone games (including the 3 maps of the achievement), and have not been successful so far. Can someone help me?

There seems to be no good solution for a 100% fix but Read here.

I already tried that, several times.

The only other thing I can suggest is losing a match on one of the three maps in firefight or warzone. I was stuck at 66% and then lost on stormbreak and the achievement unlocked.

I’m stuck at 66% too. I’ll try that. Thanks.

Are you playing Warzone Firefight or traditional Warzone? I’ve won numerous times on Firefight and once in traditional Warzone on all of the maps and my progress still sits at 0%. I’ve tried everything to get the data to sync with no luck.

I’ve won in both, in all maps, modes several times. My progress still in 66%.
My Stats:_Warzone:_Scape from A.R.C. - 14 Wins
March On Stormbreak - 11 Wins
Raid on Apex 7 - 10 Wins

_Warzone Firefight:_Scape from A.R.C. - 2 Wins
March On Stormbreak - 4 Wins
Raid on Apex 7 - 3 Wins

I’m in a similar boat, except I don’t have wins yet on a couple maps. Other than that, multiple wins for most maps and my progress sits at 0%. I’ve tried the reset options posted elsewhere multiple times with no luck in getting my data to sync properly. And 343i doesn’t seem to be monitoring this forum, so I’m not sure what else to do. This is frustrating as it’s the only achievement that doesn’t sync.

Yeah, 343 doesn’ seem to be concerned about this. I’m very frustrated with this. Is the only achievement missing on Halo 5…

Hate seeing someone not unlock an achievement because of a glitch that should have been fixed on launch. I’ll try and help.

I read all your posts and saw that you tried all the solutions on TA. That is the best place to get achievement guides. I guess I’ll start by confirming, did you unplug absolutely everything from your Xbox? That includes power cords, hard drives, HDMI cables, etc. Additionally, if you are using an external drive, did you unplug that from the power outlet and Xbox?

@tuhin94

I appreciate you trying to help. I’ve followed their instructions step by step and unplugged everything. After numerous attempts of trying to get my service record to sync it still only shows one multiplayer victory on my Xbox and my achievement progress for Warlord is at 0%. It’s been this way for months. This is the last achievement. I was hoping someone at 343i would acknowledge this thread.

I’m grateful for your attempt to help. Yes, I already did all the steps mentioned.I delete the profile from my xbox. Some friends tried in their XBOXs from me, but with no success.

Hmm looks like logic needs to be thrown out the window haha. Guess now it’s all about trying things in varying order and hoping something sticks. I basically had to do the same when I had issues.

In the following steps, I’m only mentioning “persistent storage.” To be more thorough, you can clear your mac address under your network settings as well. But, that should not be necessary. Try this even if you’ve done these steps individually before:

  1. Start up Halo 5 and get to the main menu where you can choose which lobby you want to go to (campaign, MP, etc.).

  2. Go to Xbox settings —> Blu-Ray —> Clear Persistent Storage. There might be an intermediate step there but you get the idea. Clear persistent storage like 5 times.

  3. Go back to Halo 5. If you’re not already there, go back to the same menu again. Then repeat step 2.

  4. Start up Halo 5 again and reach the same menu. This time, press the Guide button and force quit the game by highlighting the game tile and pressing the Menu button.

  5. Clear persistent storage like 5 times again.

  6. Do a hard reset on your Xbox by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds. Let it sit for a few more seconds. Doesn’t need to be more than like 10 or 20.

  7. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox. No need to unplug it from the wall. Also unplug your hard drive (if you are using one) and HDMI from the back of your Xbox. Again, no need to remove it from anywhere else. Basically, the point of this step is to remove literally any sources of even the smallest amount of current that might be going in. It’s illogical and isn’t how consoles work, but nothing else seems to be working so I’m suggesting it. Again, let your Xbox sit for a bit. If you are using an external drive, make sure it’s not powered on at all.

  8. Okay, now that everything has sat quietly, go ahead and plug everything back into the back of your Xbox. Go ahead and turn it on normally. Once you’re at the dashboard, clear persistent storage like 5 more times yet again.

  9. Do another hard reset and boot up your Xbox again. Point of 8 and 9 is to thoroughly clear anything stored in any cache whatsoever.

  10. Clear persistent storage like 5 times and finally boot up Halo 5. Play a game of Firefight or Warzone and try to win. While doing this, check to see if the number of wins and/or achievement tracker in the game hub goes up. If it goes up, do not quit Halo 5 or turn off your Xbox. To be safe, don’t leave matchmaking either but you can if you want to.

  11. If you don’t see your number of wins or achievement tracker going up, then clear persistent storage again while the game is running and do it again after force quitting the game. Optionally, restart your Xbox. Attempt step 10 again.

I hope this helps. I know it’s ultra freaking tedious, but stick with it and it might work. Please post if it works or if it doesn’t and I’ll try to post another possible method.

As soon as possible I’ll try this… so I said the result here. Thank you, man.

@tuhin94

I tried your solution twice but alas no progress. Achievement still says 0% progress and my matchmaking victories still only says one (despite winning both firefight matches after hard resets). I appreciate your offer to help. Unfortunately this achievement is broken.

I guess one thing I can suggest immediately is to install the game to your internal drive if you’re using an external or vice versa. Then try the above steps again.

Well, I finally unlocked the achievement tonight. Here is how I did it.

  • I uninstalled all add ons that came with the game (the version I had included a Warzone Req pack add on and something else) so the only thing I had installed was the game. - I then deleted my local save files under Settings. - I launched Halo 5, waited until the game tried to sync my save file from the cloud and then I clicked Cancel. - I then clicked the Sync option that popped up and played a match of Firefight and won. Went to my stats and saw that I did progress to two wins instead of one! This told me my data was syncing with the achievement system. The next match was on one of the original maps and after winning that match, my achievement progress went to 33%. This was good news! Note: if you don’t see progress in your matchmaking victories stats, exit the game and delete the local save file again and repeat steps 3 and 4. - I did not exit the game. I kept playing until I won (meaning we got through all five waves successfully) on the three original maps and then the achievement popped!Felipe, try this if all other methods don’t work for you. Good luck!

I’ll try that today. Thanks for the feedback.

I got it, finally. To solve this achievement I played the maps using the physical media of the game. Apparently this synchronization problem only occurs in the digital version.

Congrats  I had this issue using a physical copy so not sure about that, but it could be different for each player.
