Anyways, it takes place in a Forerunner planet as saw in the trailer & concept art trailer.
i don’t think onyx was destroyed but all read the book for a 2ed time
The forerunner tech looks alot like halo wars forerunner tech so its either the same planet or same tech. They did say that all events and games lead up to halo 4 so it could be the same planet but i doubt it.

just read the last pages of ghosts of onyx but it nothing about onyx being destroyed i haven’t

It takes place on a Forerunner construct.
Looks like some sort of forerunner shield world to me, and I’m pretty sure I saw pelicans in the concept art trailer. I want my UNSC.

Onyx was definitely destroyed… You need to reread it again, sir. Onyx was made up of a bunch of sentinels and they all woke up, and the planet itself, disintegrated.
i think that it is like a shield world sorta like sigma seven that would explain the marines there
