I’ve been trying for about two weeks now to get the Hand of The Didact emblem with literally no progress at all. If anyone could give me any tips on getting the last shot it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried waiting till he is weak and shooting him with a spartan laser, shooting with an oni warthog and using scorpions and wraiths but with no luck.
This works for my brother hope they don’t have fuel rods and sneak up behind warden and then assassinate him look up where to hit (I haven’t figured it out yet)
Using a hydra on the warden works as it locks onto his weak points and you get the kill, using the upgraded Hydras helps a heap too
If he is at about a quarter health, spawn an Arclight and just wait until the health gets slim (usually about 1/8th to a sliver) then blast away. Has worked for me countless times.
Arclight is definitely the way to go. Assassinating is such a crap shoot because you can be in the middle of doing it, but it takes so long, and if his health is really low, someone else is going to steal the kill.
Timing is everything.
Oni turret has done it for me multiple times. Constant high damage improves your chances more than trying to time the final shot.
If you team is doing a full frontal (hehe) just sneak behind him and hit he glowing orb in the upper part of his back that gets exposed when he takes a lot of damage, unload into that orb, or assassinate him. I’d recommend just shooting him because assassinating just leaves a higher risk for having the kill stolen

The closer you go to him the higher your chance of getting the kill .

4)Oni turret on the head or in the back
I found the Answer worked very well for me. Once his health is low just unload with the Answer. Regardless of what weapon you’re using though it really is just a matter of luck most times.

"full frontal!" welcome to 6th grade kids!
When I’m not losing and pinned in our base. I normally use any power weapon to try anf finish him off.
Generally I either grab a scorpion and blast him open or get in a position where I can shoot his back.
I still need 4 more to finish this commendation… Taking 4ever!
If you have the Splinter Grenade Mod you should try and use that. A well timed splinter grenade can kill Warden easily.
Use the answer and hope for the best
I have gotten more with my DMR than with any other method. I usually have a power weapon out at the start of Warden then use it or die by the middle then rush to get to him by the last 25% and then hope to SMG for a while (just to get hits on target in hopes to get the assist if not the actual kill (by the way, does anyone know if when you get the yellow skull does that always mean you get a warden kill or can an assist not count for kill but still for boss takedown?)), then when he gets crazy low I just fire a full clip of DMR and if he’s still alive I switch back to SMG and spray n’ pray. Always aim for the orb on back and make sure the secondary has a full clip for last second shots.
I had good luck finishing the commendation with The Answer as well. But I’ve gotten the kill other times with Tanks, Wraiths, Fuel Rod, Incinerator and even a Banshee once.
I usually use either a Saw or Whiplash. You’re really just trying to get the LAST shot on him so the amount of damage done by your weapon isn’t relevant. I find its more about how rapidly you can keep hitting him in order to get the final shot. I’ve even had better luck with an SMG than most power weapons like the Laser where you have to rely on near perfect timing in order to get the kill
splinter nades, nothing does the trick like a well placed splinter nade when he is at low health. advisable to wait till he is nearly out like the last 5% or something of his health bar, before u throw the nade…try aiming it for the glowing spot on his back or just get it on his feet.
throw nade and spam ur smg, works all the time for me, im at 3/5 done with that commendation within a week.
