Warden Slayer Commendation Not Getting Progress

As stated in the topic, I was supposed to have completed the Warden Slayer commendation but every time the Warzone match ends I’ve gotten no commendation completion unfortunately for the second time now. Is there any way to solve this issue or will I always be one away from completing that commendation for good?

Sometimes you get awarded the kill medal when you get an assist on the warden. You have to actually get the kill shot to progress your commendation.

Is that how that works, that’s even dumber than what i thought it was.

It’s appearing as a legendary boss kill in the stats though

The legendary boss kill and warden kill are two different things. Several players get a legendary boss kill but only one gets the warden kill.

It does but it might end up being just an assist which 343 needs to make it appear as an assist not a kill

same thing happened to me just now. I got the medals and the legendary boss takedown but no advance on the commendation. anyways now that I know this I won’t get my hopes up when i get a legendary takedown medal

That’s happening because if you get the legendary boss kill you are not automaticalli getting the Warden kill.
If you are struggeling getting this kills i will suggest using an Answer or a Scopion\Warthog ONI

Has anyone else ever gotten the Boss Takedown medal without ever firing a shot on the boss?
