Ever since the January update released, the commendation for Warden kills has not been working properly. Today alone I was awarded the Warden Eternal kill twice in 2 separate Warzone games. Both of these legendary takedowns were clearly acknowledged in-game; however, the progress did not transfer over to my commendations (meaning I began the day on level 5/5 with 1 of 10 kills completed, following each of the successive Warden kills the commendation progress remained at 1 of 10). Is this a common problem among other players? Is there a fix?
I haven’t had that problem, I got a Warden kill after Jan update and it’s fine.
However my problem is Warden itself where I have managed to land a complete assassination animation TWICE and apparently a teammate gets the kill, by simply shooting at Warden with a BR ( my most likely guess anyway). I would have clips of both occurrences, however I haven’t got the money, time, or place for that.
Your probably just not actually getting the kill. You need to score the final hit on the warden to earn the commendation progress. If you didn’t land the final blow but still did a lot of damage to warden you will earn a legendary take down medal as well, but this does not count towards progress as it is not the final hit meaning somebody else killed warden.

Dude same here. I have 9/10 ( 1 away from completing the commendation) and I have killed 3 wardens since and it still says 9/10 and won’t give me the completion… Such bs … PLEASE FIX THIS
Mine have been the hunters. My hunters are at 9/10 and i’ve killed 3 or 4 since then but it doesn’t go up. I have been the only one even around to kill them, and get the boss kills in game but the commendation doesn’t go up. Kinda irritating me.

You didn’t get the last shot on him them, you got the assist kill on him. Nothing wrong.

This is the ultimate answer. You are getting the medal, but not the final blow.
I used to think the same thing with both regular bosses and legendary bosses until I went back and watch previous games and saw someone else get the final shot. What I have been having issues with is the medal for assisting on legendary boss kills. It seems like I can knock quite a bit of its life off and yet not get an assists in the kill.
Im the exact same. I definetly got the kill because on the left of screen it says “you killed warden eternal”. Im currently on 6/10 kills and it hasnt moved at all and iv killed about 20 wardens to try get those last 4 and nothing happened.
You gotta be a scumbag and be that one guy in the tank that isn’t shooting the warden during his last 1/5 of life so you can wait until that final sliver is left to take your shot. Then you’ll net the kill.
Of course if you still do this after you have maxed your commendation you are super scumbag tier and should be ashamed lol

Lol yeah iv already finished all other enemy commendations and boss and legendary boss commendations but this 1 is a huge pain. Ill give your idea a go and if it works ill consider you a legend. Thanx bro
