Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I’ve killed the Warden in Warzone about 3 times now and it shows I have 0 kills in my commendations.
Did you see the gold boss medal show up at the bottom of your screen to confirm you recorded the takedown…?
If not then you didn’t record the kill and your commendation count will remain at its current level.
Yeah absolutely. It just doesn’t want to show up in my commendations. Ever other commendation updates as it should except for that one.
The requirement for the commendation is stricter than the requirement for the medal. For the medal to pop up, you just have to participate in the takedown of a legendary boss. For the commendation, you actually have to be the one to kill the warden. Maybe someone else got in the last shot when you killed the warden.
From what I’ve seen so far I don’t believe that’s true. I’ve participated in many legendary boss fights without getting the medal. And every other commendation for legendary bosses, Knights, Wraiths, etc, all update properly when I kill them. And gives me the medal.

What loo wrote above is correct. The yellow skull medal is the big boss commendation and not the warden kill. Several team members get the former but only one gets the kill.
I too have this issue and it said legendary takedown award…
You have to get the final shot for legendary bosses. Many people get the medal that pops up but it only counts for 1 person in the commendations.

You’re pretty correct here, though you might not need the FINAL shot but at least be actively damaging him when he’s killed and your team gets it. In the last update the medal for the boss was changed so that you only needed to deal 1% of damage to earn the medal, but as you stated that doesn’t mean you get kill. Took me a bit to figure this out but I got the commendation completed recently.

They need a Warden kill medal so players can tell if they actually killed him. He’s the only enemy without a specific kill medal.
I played 7 warzone matches yesterday and got 5 warden kills. NONE counted! I only need 7 warden kills to complete the commendation, but due to 343i’s broken POS servers I have gotten no credit for them, this has been happening to me off and on since warzone firefight. I would already have completed this commedation days ago if it weren’t for this issue.

I had the same problem too, it’s hard to misunderstand which shot was the last one when you’re using a spartan laser. i definitively was the One who shot him for last and i didn’t even get the kill. Last time, instead, i got the medal but not the encomiation.
the only way ive ever managed to get the actual commendation is to shoot him with he H2BR all the other weapons i use i only get the medal not the commendation.
Ive recorded 3 kills where i git the absolute last shot in the past two days and im still @ 9/10 warden kills its in my captures but i have not had a registered warden kill since the firefight update. Just trying to see if theres an absolute guarantee because using loathsome thing, Jorges chaingun and an oni chaingun and a banshee all have not registered even when im the one landing the undoubted last shot.
Same issue here. I have nearly completed all of my commendations, but my warden sit at 0/1 lvl 1. has anyone noticed a change if they had issues before?
It sucks, but like everyone else stated… you have to be the lucky one that gets the killing shot. The Warden commendation took me forever to get especially if you’re playing FF. Every player in the game is going after him. At least in WZ you have a little better chance being other players are going after bases etc…

I recently assassinated a warden and it still says 8/10
