In the beta they had trouble but usually counted towards warden kills.
Buy since the official release they don’t seem to count towards the warden kill metal.
Is there evidence for this? As I have been wondering the same thing, but I cannot tell as I have no evidence one way or another.
Getting the medal for a Warden kill doesn’t count towards the commendation, you need to land the killing shot for it to count.

Why aren’t other boss types like this than?

Yes they count you need to actually get the kill. It worked in beta as well the very same way. I got warden kills during both periods and it definiatly works. Like others have said medal doesn’t mean you got the kill.
There are two types of medals awarded but both look the same, warden kill participation and warden kill. You have to be alive, and doing heavy damage to get the kill medal. You can get the participation medal for just being awesome.

Yes. Remember: Mythic/legendary takedown medals are given with kills or assists. If you get one, it is more likely going to be an assists.

Try the SMG or Splinter grenade. No need to get fancy. I got most of mine with those two.
I recommend using a wraith and attacking at the very last moment to get the kill.
This needs to be changed. If you get the medal, it should count towards the commendation.
Other bosses counted at least 1 every few kills.

1/8 in firefight.
So if only 1 person gets the “kill” for warden…
It’s going to take weeks to get the 4 kills I need.

You have to do the final damage to him for the kill. Not the most amount and it worked he same in the beta

I feel if you were there for the whole fight with a power weapon / vehicle.
You should get the kill, or at least a takedown metal.
You have to make final hit on him to make it count, try to assassinate him.
Last night I finally got my Warden Slayer Commendation. I had read that you need to place the last shot for it to count. I did not know that. I only had 1 more warden to go. I loaded 2 DMR’s and went after one. I helped bring down the health of a warden, switched my DMR, and waited for the health bar to diminish all the way down, and shot him 3 times and one of them was the final shot and I got my commendation. I have played over 460 matches, and this is the first time I deliberately held back waiting for the right moment. You need to get that last shot.
Oh yeah I was wondering about this, and forgot… Time to check.
