This happened to me 2 times in warzone during the same game on battle of noctus. what im talking about is me assassinating warden, completing the full assassination only to find out that SOMEHOW! the enemy still gets the kill! WTAF!!!
Ahh… I have stolen many this way myself. Assassination animations look nice but you always risk losing the kill. You can turn off the animation in the game settings. Solves your problem, though at the cost of aesthetics.
If you complete the assassination you should get the kill same with Spartans they should fix this

So you are saying if the enemy kills Warden while you are assassinating him to cut the assassination animation short like in normal games to reduce confusion?
I concur.
Once the assassination animation has finished it should give you the ‘X’ However mid assassination I think it’s fair game, as you chose to try to get the assassination instead of shooting him a bit more
Its basically the same as with Spartans. They just yoink Warden from you.

The Warden of Eternal still takes damage while being assassinated. It just so happens that it took enough damage that it was killed by someone else. It’s called Yoink! It happens w/h all A.I.s and spartans. You can’t control it…and join Bloodlines of Ghosts for a free req pack. It only needs one more member! Care to help?
It’s apart of the game. I steal kills, they steal kills, it goes in a cycle. Who ever said this boss was meant for one team only? The boss is a neutral
enemy so they are up for grabs regardless of which side of the map it spawns on!
