There is a debate about the Warden Eternal, personally I liked the character and the chaos he caused, but he was over used. I would like to see him return in Halo Infinite, but only once or twice as a big boss. I know that Halo Infinite could have a plethora of new enemies to face, but I did enjoy the interactions and cut scenes with the Warden.
What do you guys think? Should he come back as a boss, or just be part of the game in some way?

I can see it, as long as it’s only one to two boss fights and only if the Warden has a “puzzle” behind the fight itself. Multiple weaknesses to concentrate on, phases with different attack patterns, ambient triggers, no QTE of any sort and overall a memorable and fun fight in the style of Halo. It also need to be an open fight were different approaches are possible, a little bit like the Scarabs in H3 - even though I wouldn’t consider them being bosses, more like giant units and part of the actual sandbox. That would be an interesting use of the Warden as well if done right. He could some sort of commanding Hunter in a few fights instead of a classic boss. The small arena with two to three bullet-sponges however were fairly boring frankly.
I hope he doesn’t return. he was definitely over used.
I liked it more when it felt like a war between armies instead of it being master chief vs a giant super tech robot with a massive sword and firing lasers from its eyes.
The thing that i have dislike for prometheans and that i somewhat had enough with warden in H5g mean that i would prefer infinite not having warden or limit its appearances to appearance or 2.
The warden was not that interesting to fight, in fact Halo has not been that good of a franchise for bosses to appear in. Its a sci-fi shooter after all. Anyway, it was bullet spongy with invincibility frames during those pain animations (and why pain if the body is robotic?), it had armament consisting of face quick beam that is rather similar to those promethean stationary floating turrets (why everything floats now anyway?) Only shorter and stronger & a sword, a sword waved around by a robot made by mystical and ancient species. It just seems off unlike energy swords that are part of elite hierarchy and honor thing or hammers that are show of status and brute nature of the high ranking brutes.
And even the design, much like promethean soldiers, the proportions of the body make more sense than knight with its top heavy body and tiny limbs but humanoid robots just seems like a weird design choice by species that made sentinels which have more simple design for easier manufacturing, capability to flloat for accessibility, beam weaponry for cleansing flood quicker and so on. (Also, again. Why everything has floating parts now?)
But maybe that could be a shortened version for now.
Anyway, maybe it still could have some appearances in the game (if cortana did not delete it or something in that one cutscene with warden controlling multiple bodies and such or something like that) given sweeping a character quickly under a rug could be worse than making a proper ending for even a bad character, the story needs to make sense.

He was overused in H5G no doubt. But he was awesome, and I would like to see him return in the future in some capacity.
Along with the Didact in Halo 4… oh wait. Darn comics
I don’t want to see any repeating bosses, period. To be honest, I feel like bosses just don’t fit in Halo. Except for Scarabs, because fighting a Scarab in Halo 3 was not only awesome, but dynamic. Most boss fights are rigid and only allow players to fight in the way the game intends them to. Scarabs allowed for more freedom in how you fought them, and that’s what made fighting them fun.

343 tired to make a Scarab fight in Halo 5. The Kracken.
‘‘The Kracken was the best thing ever’’ - said nobody
I liked his character, fighting him was fun… once. Not the other 3 times? lol I actually wouldn’t mind if they just nerfed him and basically make him the Prometheans version of the Hunter. Not a boss, not everywhere, but you gotta fight one or two once in a while and it is a treat. He’s got all those bodies right? Utilize them.

Same. But they cant just drop the prometheans like that. They should just be used much more less as enemies in Infinite. I dont see why that wouldnt work out assuming that Cortana would have other factions under her. The prometheans should be her last resort towards the UNSC, but i want the main bad guys to be brutes, elites, jackals, drones, grunts & hunters. Prometheans are just so dam annoying. I wanna see the Flood give them the beating of their lives lol.

I agree. He was used a lot i thought too in the campaign but i would also love to see him return to Halo6 as a boss. I just hope they would make him taller and faster but I’d only want to face him once
