Warden Eternal

Dont you just hate it when you and your team put all the work and damage into warden eternal and then the enemy assassinates him. I’ve lost games because of that, but stuff happens. Reply if this has happened to you.

Happens all the time. Should at least get points leading up to his death then the final blow count for something.

Yeh get points for damaging him that would make sense

thank you.

I always get confused when I see topics about this. I’ve played close to a thousand Warzone games, and I almost never see one team do 90% of the damage as so many people claim. 99% of the time in the Warden fights I see both teams going all out calling in Scorpions, Wraiths, Banshees, Rockets, Lasers, Railguns, etc. In that situation it’s not one team doing “all the work and damage.” Not to mention it’s literally impossible to tell how much damage the teams did to him since it’s not like there’s two seperate health bars for him to represent damage from both teams. Also, securing the Warden kill is easy to do if you time the Spartan Laser right, assassinate him yourself, or hold off the enemy team.

Warzone boss kills should work like this: If one team does, say, 90% of the damage, then they should get 90% of the points after the kill, and the other team that did the other 10% of the damage would get 10% of the points. This would promote the idea of everyone on each team to push for the boss to EARN the points, rather than waiting for the other team to do most of the damage then swooping in for a kill steal.

I love spawning invis and crouch walking. then i wait for the steal.

I have mixed emotiins about the last shot thing. But then again the dark side is always calling me and my Sith Lord friends to the last shot

yep

I was lucky enough today to steal it from the ennemies twice on noctus, leading my team to the victory. But that happen very rarely, I was like “oh cool I stole it lol” the first time. Then I stole it a second time and was like “OH YEEEEEEES I STOLE IT YES YES YES WE WOOOOOOON” lmao

But overall, every time he spawns, I usually spawn a tank, shooting him to finally not get the kill and lose the game.

I always thought the bosses’ health bar should be hided, or at least give points proportionally to damage given.

Giving points proportional to damage given would make a world of a difference. People wouldn’t just be going for the KS and take all the points. I think it’s a great idea.

Yes, it’d make no sense for two teams to fight over a boss as both teams would in most cases ignore each other and flood any larger boss with damage.
There’d be zero incentive to kill a boss your team has done less than 50% damage on as you’d award the other team more than your own, especially in close matches with both teams close to victory.

So yes, it’d make a world of difference.

Hide the health bar.
Forces teams that want boss points to actually go there to actively secure the kill themselves.

Best solution? Add assist points. You get most points for the kill, but assist points are also given out to the team that did the most damage. So if your team did most of the damage and made the last shot you would get extra points, but if your team just got the last shot, the other team would get some points for the assist.

The points system around boss kills is SO DAMN STUPID!
I think that when I’m the one who takes the kill as well!
I played the other day and I was aiming at an enemy player trying to take down warden, so I randomly straffed and I was given the legendary kill… umm okay… Nice system for my one bullet hit

YES! OR WHEN THEY END UP KILLING IT WHEN YOU GO BALLS OUT FOR THE KILL!

If the enemy assassinates the warden, you can still damage him before he fades away. Same thing with the knights.

You win some you lose some. Some lost, your like WTF, but some won your like yeah, even though you did not do most of the damage… Points go to whomever gets the kill, is fine with me, I am not about “participation trophies”.

I have always wondered though how many people on the team get credit for the kill? Is it more than one? Is it every participant from your team?

The way VP are assigned in Warzone for boss kills is NOT changing. 343 has already stated that it will not change this.

This. This is it.
