Warden Eternal = Didact

Did 343i not say somewhere that the Didact would play a role in Halo 5? I dont have a source but I swear I remember hearing this and it was said well before Halo 5 came out IIRC. The Warden Eternal comes seemingly out of nowhere, with no back story and I believe this was done intentionally.
He looks like a promethean Didact (Yeah yeah I know, he looks like a promethean Forerunner period, therefore he could be ANY forerunner, but I’m still not buying it) and seems to be the same height, has the same 6 fingered hands, uses the same gravity manipulating tech (or force, for those of you that call it that) to scoop Chief up off his feet for like the umpteenth time, and even walks and talks in a similar manner. He has some weird unexplained hate for humans and is offended by their effort in attaining the mantle. And is heard muttering “Curse this form”, justifying his inability to wreck Spartans the way he did Chief in Halo 4 and backing up the probability that he is far less powerful as a promethean construct than that of a forerunner in a crazy combat skin. Exuberant mentions that she thought it was obvious that he wasn’t a “robot”, which seems like some sort of foreshadowed “plot twist/realization” at the very least. Not some “he was some random forerunner before he became what he is” moment. No -Yoink-, he is clearly a forerunner, if that line had to be thrown in it was clearly implying something very important, especially since it isn’t touched upon in the game again. If you ask me, Warden is clearly the Didact in his new “cursed”, composed form. The reason he doesn’t reveal this is because he needs Cortana for various reasons and knows she could obliterate him (which she would if she knew who he really was) if he revealed himself. I dont know, maybe I’m just trying desperately to justify the Wardens character and find any reason to believe he is anything but a horrible plot device. But this seems like a good way to keep him in the story and actually make him a menacing (yet vulnerable and beatable villain) that can be an actual boss in gameplay, cause we all remember how difficult it was to implement him into Halo 4 in his natural, God-like form (brief QTE sequence anyone?). Thoughts? I know many will religiously deny this as a possibility, but it like seems sort of obvious to me honestly. Maybe I’m wrong though.

Sorry for the wall of text guys, you wont believe how hard it is to get things out on mobile sometimes, trying to press enter even once to create pretty, non-behemoth paragraphs will spell the end to your efforts most of the time and cause bugs and glitches that are hard to work around.

Not only that, the ending of Halo 4, Cortana said the rest of her is down there. Cortana had also split up her personalities. So the Cortana we knew must have died, while some weird parts of her remained and went to the Domain. I wouldn’t be suprised if Warden Eternal is Didact composed.

I don’t know. I feel like Halo 5’s story was originally something else and they randomly went and changed it mid-production, kind of like what was rumored with Destiny after it released. Like I think the Didact was originally going to be a part of Halo 5 but then they scrapped it.

I just wish they would shoehorn Deja (spelling?) back into the story somehow.

Regarding THAT, I do feel he could be a good original character (aka not the Didact) if his involvement in the story was better presented and executed, but like I said, as of right now the only way I find him to be a compelling character in any way is if he was the Didact come again manipulating Cortana.

the warden is just a forunner a.i like soldiers and crawlers while knights are composed humans

Nope, Didact’s dead. It’s confirmed as of the Escalation comics - he was never composed but rather transported to the Composer’s Forge on Installation 03 where the local Monitor and Blue Team saw to his final defeat.

Wasn’t he composed by Blue team!?

The Didact hates all things human. So him working to protect a human AI would be…Againt his character. Not only that but other users have already stated what happened to him

I would think Deja was decommissioned a long time ago. I don’t remember what happened to Jerrod, but he could still be around if non smart AIs have a longer lifespan.

I swear the Didact makes an appearance also. He’s dead now though…

No way Didact would ever let Cortana (a creation of the species he despises and the person who helped “kill” him) take possession of the Mantel. Besides, if Warden was Didact, it just makes Didact look like a giant wuss (I killed him 7 times).

You have a point there SloppyDillDog I mean they kinda talk in the same way.

Didact “The mantle of responsibility belongs to the forerunners”

Warden “The mantle of responsibility belongs to Cortana”

But in the other hand his body was destroyed when Chief activated the halo which went crashing in a ancient forerunner city.
