Warden Eternal = Composed Didact?

Did nobody notice the similarities between the Warden Eternal from the campaign trailer and the Didact? They have literally the same voice. We know the Didact was composed…is there a possible connection here?

Except that they do not have literally the same voice, as Warden speaks with more of an accent and has a different voice actor. Didact also wasn’t a keeper of the Domain.

The Warden Eternal is most likely the Warden from Halo Cryptum, a Forerunner AI who was the oldest and most important AI in Forerunner society.

The Warden Eternal sounds exactly nothing like the Didact.

But just to play Devil’s advocate, why would the Didact let Chief board the Guardian after what a thorn in his side Chief has been? In Escalation, he says something along the lines of: “Consistently, the opportunity for me to kill you is presented, yet foolishly, I refuse. No more.” This is, of course, before Chief and Blue Team dump on him and Chief ends up stabbing him in the eye with his knife. Basically, I just can’t imagine the Didact not trying to tear Chief to shreds as soon as he got the chance.

I can see why Chief has luck on his side. The didact just had to monologue to himself every single time he encounter chief, that plus the fact that Chief is Microsoft’s cash cow; he can’t die that soon.

You guys ever think that this Warden is a properly composed Promethean? Not the ones who lost their minds when converted into Knights?

Where in canon is it stated that composed Prometheans “lost their minds”? The only problem related to composition that I recall is that composed beings could not be made biological again, with the Librarian stating that attempting to do so produced “abominations”. Promethean Knights are constructs containing composed essences, not biological entities, and so that wouldn’t apply to them.

I really believe he’s the Warden. We’ve heard AI’s many times before announce their name upon meeting someone, and I’d have a hard time believing that a sentient character would proclaim their name like that for no reason.

I believe it is shown in Halo canon that those composed that become Promethean Knights do in fact lose their minds, if not all conscious recollection of who they were & their organic emotions. The Librarian encountered a Promethean Knight she imagined could be Endurance-of-Will, the knight striking her as cold & silent. Though perhaps the best evidence is the ancient & modern composed humans, none of the knights are like Chakas/343 GS at all in that their memories & personalities remain intact. In fact the knights seem almost animalistic & blood thirsty, almost as if distilled down to there most primal & primitive nature. I mean why the hell would citizens of New Phoenix follow the Didact, who did this to them in the 1st place or Jul 'Mdama? Obviously they must have their loyalties programmed but obviously it seems theirs more to it than just programming. I think of them as being like Flood Combat forms in a way that they simply serve as a template for war machines whether organic or synthetic…
