This game mode seems to be mad at me because I refuse to spend money on REQs. why do i think that? because out of around 350 games played in warzone I only have 1 mantis. unfortunately I can’t use it yet because based on the statistics it will be another 350 games before I get another Mantis. why do this game have to be so -Yoinking!- stingy? the hot fix sure did not make things any better because you still need to use high level REQs in order to punish those bullet sponge bosses; we constantly run out of time trying to kill enemies with our rubber bullets. also since this hot fix, I have been attacked by invisible enemies in FF that takes me out in one shot. usually when I exit the REQ station, as soon as I step outside “pew!” my req is instantly lost! Halo5, I will never give you any more of my money if you think punishing me is a way to get it from me.

I’ve unlocked everything and have a good amount of everything - I’m not low at all. And still, WZFF is frustrating as hell. I can only imagine how awful it is for you, OP. I don’t know how they put out the WZFF we have today. How did they not think about the newer players, who are still working on building their REQ inventory?
There are certain rounds where I’ve found you can only win if someone spawns a Phaeton Helios. THAT IS ONE OF THE RAREST REQS OUT THERE. Only people who have been playing the game since launch are going to have it. That’s totally unfair to anyone else who isn’t that far in the game.
If find it funny that they launched this playlist with the “Play H5 for free” week. Its the worst mode to expose a new player to. They’ll hate Halo after just a few games.

Hey, I think OP has a legitimate frustration. He’s probably newer to the game than you and I (and others).
If I started a new profile, knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t even touch WZFF until I unlocked everything.
EDIT: actually, given that I refuse to play WZFF now… I still wouldn’t play it on that new profile! lol

All I’m saying is he shouldn’t blame the game for his lack of REQs, they’re not too difficult to get.
Also OP the hot fix has absolutely nothing to do with the reqs. The reqs are random. All the hot fix did is move some objectives to later rounds and lower the number of kills required on other objectives that was about it.

well that blows…i’m saving my phaetons for regular warzone so i can finish up the phaeton kill commendation…that is if i can ever get into a lobby with no farming, or be able to glide around for a few seconds without 50 splasers going off in my face. I swear to god those f-ing things have kleenex for armor

Yeah that is why they really need two versions of firefight… one that plays more like the beta and one that plays as the released version. I don’t get why 343 can only seem to cater to one play style.

Pipap Round 5 on Apex. My team has never won without one. The only way we’ve managed to pull it off is with a Phaeton Helios. Can’t find anything else that’s efficient enough to take out Pipap and then those 2 hunters.
If you have another strategy, no sarcasm at all, I would love to hear it. I need another way to get through that round! lol

I’ve played close to 2000. So 350 isn’t that much. You either play more or you pay more. It’s your choice. Or quit, I’m not sure you’ll be missed.

I will admit I have been playing halo since launch. I play Halo 5 like once or twice per week maybe a couple hours at a time. Im a long time halo fan I’ve been playing video games since the 80s, so excuse me for sounding weird. Now, I have been getting plenty REQs packs but very unlucky to not get a sufficient amount of Mantis. I really don’t know if mantis can win firefight but I enjoyed playing mantis in Halo4. sorry pal, but I do blame this game for being stingy with mantis for me.

Well whenever a gametype comes up like WZFF that depends so much on your relationship with RNGesus, people have a right to express their opinions. It’s -Yoink- that new players aren’t given a fair shot in this gametype. When did the community suddenly become so prejudice towards new players?

thats true, and when you really need certain REQs for certain objectives, it makes it tough.
Those done with the req system usually have no problem stockpiling new items with 4,000 rp gold packs and plenty of boosts. Its tough for those new players
