T4R. To me, it would be pretty epic seeing a War Sphinx take on a Scarab in a huge battle.
Sounds good to me.
If that is anything close to being fair: sure.
Got a creeping feeling a War Sphinx really would crap on a Scarab though…
But it would at least be cool to finally see some Sphinx’
i looked up the war sphinx. that would be pretty intresting to watch. also you should include the picture for those who dont know what it looks like.

I always pictured them as being about as big as the Elephant.
What makes a boss fight special, fun, interesting, replayable IMO:
-
distinct movement patterns. A straightforward charge like Tartarus is a big no no
-
change of fighting pattern. The boss gets owned by the same strategy, he wises up and changes his tactics. This has been in nearly every boss battle except in Halo
-
specialized mooks that don’t appear elsewhere. I bet when people got to fight Regret, they were disappointed that they had to put up Elites that talked the talk but did not walk the walk. They were just your typical Elites with badass armor. No special tricks up their sleeve. Just a lot of them and a cheating boss
-
no depending on allies. Allies are there as support, not to fight your battles for you. Waiting for Johnson to bring down Tartarus’ shield was bad enough. But being able to clone him or send in Keyes as the ultimate distraction, that’s an unprecedented mistake
-
phases. Just when you think it’s over, the boss man undergoes a metamorphosis, becomes even more powerful, pulls out his trump card.
-
deceptive. It’s often the massive ones that are easiest to take down while the smaller ones are absolutely punishing. I think it’s time to demolish this pattern. The War Sphinx should be absolutely lethal
-
vehicles. Every once in a while, a fight rages on slowly with vain or repetitive tactics. Having the option to use vehicles can change the battle drastically. Of course, it should not leave you impervious (Banshee vs. Tartarus, Hornet vs. Scarabs). The boss should be able to do something about vehicles (like Enforcers and Juggernauts, except more efficiently) or the vehicle should be supplemental (like blowing up a pillar to reach the boss or cut off his approach)
