On the xbox live marketplace, the description of the war games pass clearly states - “Content includes “Crimson, Majestic & Castle Map Packs” plus 2 in-game helmets and an emblem at a special value. If you own this Map Pass, access map packs thru the Halo 4 in-game store. Do not download from Xbox LIVE Marketplace or you will be charged twice. Halo 4 game, 4GB storage, & Xbox LIVE Gold membership (each sold separately) required to use this content. (Map Pass included with Halo 4 Limited Edition.)”

This means you are not entitled to download the champions bundle or any further downloadable content for Halo 4 for free with the pass, No excuses

That is completely true. I see where people are coming from though. They buy the map pass and never get to play the content they paid for. It makes sense they expect something extra for free for getting ripped off, or feeling like they have been ripped off.
while spot on, and even needed… you could have put what it was in reference to in the title. a lot of those people may not even open this, and many of those who do, didn’t need it cleared up.

I knew I wasn’t the only one who was sick of all the people asking why it wasn’t free.
I’m glad I read the fine print ahead of time, if only people would pay attention to detail
I just don’t understand why people keep complaining about the fact that the Champions DLC is not free. It was clearly being mentioned in the description of the War games map pass that the first three map packs were free for those who had it.

Not to mention the fact that 343 mentioned it wasn’t free in every Champions bundle update in the Weekly Bulletin up to release.

Are people ever going to realize this or what? I mean seriously this is like the fiftieth forum post that literally tells people what the war games map pass said.
Meh, so a minority of people didn’t read what they were getting or figured that the war games map pack pass was just a way of saying “Halo Season Pass”, easy mistake considering how plagued the industry is with online and season passes for games that pretty much gurantees majority if not all of the dlc content for titles.
