War games map packs?

So, i ordered the LE of Halo 4, and I am wondering, do I have to download the map packs right away?

And then re download when they are actually released? How will that work? Can someone please explain because the controversy of Halo 4 LE and editions is confusing the crap out of me!!!

You get 2000 msp with the game and you buy the pass, then when the map packs come out you just download them then for free

I think you get codes to download the maps for free when they come out? No downloading right away I don’t think. I could be wrong though.

So you enter the codes anfd then your account verifies that they are purchased sort of?
